Thought I was hot sht using WF that I found in NM cows with my bowazon at lvl 47 with goldstrike bow (the good ol beginning days) since it was the OG bow to go to since my childhood. Now that I’ve tried making a 2 faiths and semi failed (at least I made the actual runeword) but now before I keep searching for a better faith… I figured I figure out the BP for 7fr ias with a Mat bow… do I need 125 or 99? I keep reading mixed things and a lot is of people using faith as merc. I want to use the faith without using a merc. Gold is expensive.
Please advise
70 ias (40% ias) with MATRIARCHAL bow = 7fps
so
20 glove
10 belt
20 ammy
and 30ias+ from helmet

Faith 12/13 Fanat BP is 48/46 so you need 50ias, 14/15 Fanat is 44 so you need 45 ias. GMB to hit 7frame Bp Fanat @13 is 95ias, 15 Fanat is 92 so 95 ias. You will have more DPS with GMB with 15 Fanat and 50ias ( 8 frames) than with the MB at 7 frames. This is based on the D2r ias calculator.

Would that be accounting for gmb with treachery and 45 ias helm vs mat at 7fps with Fort? I’m going for max speed but hoping I don’t have to sacrifice the armor if I can get enough speed by user a faster bow
I used to have this build with a 14 fana GMB. need 92 IAS to reach 7FPS.
20 from gloves
20 from amy
10 from belt
45 from helm (mavina with a 15%ias jwl)
You cant reach it if your fana aura is lower than 13 on the bow.
Really thought it would be miles different from using windforce but now I’m thinking of remaking a silence bow in a mat with a merc using faith now for the increased ias maybe try to make an mf bowazon viable. Before I got to 450 mf and it was horrific in kill speed. Maybe after ladder mist rw will help a bit using faith with synergies for phys. I hate how everything is so gear dependent to be somewhat viable
MF Bowazons are very hard to make
Very gear dependant without loosing too much damage.
And even with the top gear the resistances end up pretty low, Every other class gets a shield. We do need some to survive
I Have Mostly BiS but can only max damage with around 170 MF
I agree with MrYellah’s (and Myrdoen’s) post. Go GMB and as long as you’re >= 13 fanat on your faith, you can reach 7 frames with the gear setup he’s shared (95%ias). The mav’s helm is a great temp until you can make a 45/120.
If you’re a bigger fan of strafe than MS, then 2.4 is going to get even better for you. Less ias is needed to reach the fastest frames for strafe, again pointing to a faith GMB. Everything’s coming up LeZon James.

If you run a zon with silence and mf charms it’s 350 if I recall correctly. I used 25 nagel, 20mf bowazon gloves silence hydra bow goldwrap war travs50 and 47 stealskull. Wasn’t great speed but it did kill things.
Why mf with bowazon? You like to torture yourself?

I guess the biggest thing would be that 45/120 or 60/160 piece thats required for the build with such a high investment in gear with very little return in damage value I feel like vs spending a lo on a fort with using a mat bow and only needing 30 from helm plus the ias from ammy belt gloves is much more efficient and 100s of runes less to obtain. Is it really that much better to spend that much more? I’ve never had those items to be able to compare but it’s hard to fathom that it’s much better. It’s 220ed from both helm and armor vs 300 from Fort. For the same frame rate. I guess what I’m missing the is the actual damage difference for the cost
When I got the game in late December, I thought zons were OP like back in the day. Unfortunately I found a WF early game and thought it was a sign to continue the path of the zon. 2 months later when I was about to quit, I made the zealer and brought new life hahaha and the rest is history
Yeah, that’s fair. I wouldn’t do any calculations (or trust that they’ll remain accurate) prior to 2.4, at least. Thinking very long term, the meta in D2R could change drastically season to season, so who knows what a good investment is in this environment?
I too am making a Zealer, Lvl 77 atm but also making a Sorc lvl 67 currently
After watching FoH 2.4 Wreck Chaos Sanctuary videos the pally might be that. With An act 5 Grief Merc

I even tried respec the zon after finding a storm shield and a few thunderstrokes and titans but it’s just soo much work compared to a basic geared zealer. But because of those reasons the 2.4 updates are getting me excited.
Most likely treat ladder as my own “ptr” for when ladder resets to use on NL
Hi. I don’t know much about the Bowazon, but I do have + Bow and crossbow skillers if you want to offer me for it? One is plain, the other has +13 life.
The cost that come with GMB is too much and doesn’t give you room to adjust your gears . Any GG bow Zon can tell you Matriachal bow is the way to go for 7f

2.4 will be a good to spice up many builds and the market again. I use 40/15 wf, 20 ammy, 20 glove, 30 helm, and merc faith 15 aura as for armor i use fort. So far my speed can hit the lowest frame. I like the knockback for windforce. Still trying out also a few build but as you mentioned i find it not really worth to invest so much like 120/45 helm or 160/60 armor. And i dont have the resources to buy them lol.
Just go Windforce + Pride + Fort and hit the 9fpa attack speed mark with 90% IAS. You won’t even hit 8fpa let alone 7fpa, but it hits much harder and overall DPS is pretty good. This build will also gain the most benefit from the synergies in 2.4 as well.
And don’t bother making a MF bowazon, you’re too dependent on +max damage charms and IAS and don’t have a shield slot. Just make a low MF build and hunt for runes/bases/jewels/charms.
