I am just curious, since we will be getting report system, is scamming in trades actualy viable way to ban someone eventualy. Who will moderate that? Or can only cheating be reported? What about player killing? Its part of the game but what if anyone declaring hostility will be massively reported?

Well the thing is, for example report system in overwatch is pretty much automated, that open possibilty of abusing the report system. You dont have that big chance to be with same people again in match and you can really get with someone into match on purpose to report them again. But diablo 2 game creation works differently. Lets say one guy in game is doing something you join and ask your discord friends ti join game also to report the guy because idk you dont like him. And you can do this multiple times.
I would really like to hear reaction from blizzard on this, how they will make system safe against people abusing reporting.
Also the stream sniping on hc will be insane lol. Good luck to streamers who will try to play hardcore and be hunted by PKs.

Well Zax, I’m pretty sure that this is something blizz would’ve thought of and most likely when reporting i’d wager that if will prompt your to a number of reportable offence options like verbal harassment to hacking/mods (Off the top of my mind I can’t think of much else that could be really reportable for this game) so its probably just gonna be that.

They won’t do that. If the game has PvP/PK then playing the game won’t get you banned. People try to complain in WoW about getting killed and corpse camped - and Blizz points out that PvP has a PvP solution and is NOT against the rules.
If someone does not want to risk hostile then password the game.
What is usually reportable is:
- Cheating
- Spamming chat
- Advertising outside sites
- Harassment/profanity/hate speech
In-game interactions are not rated by the ESRB like the programmed game content is. So all chat for all Blizzard games has the same rules - which are pretty much the same as the forums. Consider yourself in public around strangers of all ages when you talk in the general channels. Save any colorful banter for private games with friends.

No, they did not.
They made all servers PvP enabled if you want to. For Retail anyway.
Classic still has the original style dedicated PvP servers.
Playing pvp and pk wont get you banned, enough reports from angry players might tho.
Its not the same as the sever being pvp all the time. Not as fun.
I have mixed feelings on it. My server was the largest PvP server back in the early days of WoW. It was pretty balanced at first. Over the years it went Alliance which was great for me but not for Horde.
Then came all the CRZ and server merges. It became HEAVY horde to the point you could not do basic quests/daily stuff. That was no fun at all. I actually spent Legion on an alt alone on a different server.
WoW had a long history of forcing people to make and level totally new chars if they wanted to PvP - or not play PvP. It divided up guilds and server communities. You had to play two servers with maybe two guilds to do both. Now people can go to a main city and toggle PvP on or off. People who want to PvP don’t have to make new chars or server transfer which is nice. Those who just want to quest or whatever, can do that too. Being able to play is honestly more fun to me.
Anyway, on the topic of D2R, they are not going to ban for PK unless someone is exploiting the game and cheating to cause disruption. They gave players a means to protect themselves - if games still have passwords.
I have fantastic memories from being on a pvp sever from the start not ever thing went they way and sometimes places was allyed run. Thats just the pros and con. But it was old school fun.

100000 people can report you daily for PK, but if you are not typing anything dumb or using cheats while doing your PK they will not do anything, ever, the worst that will happen is that pker will be known throughout diablo and people will either leave game when the person joins, or they will create a new character and rinse and repeat, You will never be banned from PK, It usually the people who die from the Pker who get angry end up getting suspended or banned for using harassing text or typing something stupid out of anger.
I dont know the intent of this post and don’t know if Cheetah caught it but don’t say this again. Profanity, especially the word you’re attempting to use here is not acceptable.
