Please, Blizz, when I’m trying to add gold to my stash, but the amount is more than the stash can hold, PLEASE simply allow as much gold as possible to be stored, leaving the balance still in my inventory.
Currently, I have to manually figure out exactly how many gold coins can be added - time-consuming, painful waste of time that adds nothing to the game.
Frankly, this design is a true PITA.

That’s how it used to be in classic D2, to this day even. Not sure why it goes messed up in the transition to D2R, should be fixed soon I imagine.

Yeah that’s a huge bug… I noticed it day 2… when I maxed my first shared tab… doesn’t auto calculate the remaining gold when you over store it… so dumb.

I’m storing as much gold as I can for gambling until I get Gheeds and Edge, so I ran into this too. I forgot the cap was 2500000 so it took me a minute. A small issue but still an issue.

To me, this sounds like the simplest of QoL changes. Let the computer figure the math, so I don’t have to.
So, I can get back to what I’m really here for: to H&S and not waste precious game time screwing around in my stash!

Each tab has it’s own gold limit so technically it’s a 10 million gold limit. Requires a lot of shuffling around though. I don’t think they realized that auto-gold pickup would create this issue so quickly.

Especially since I’m using Ali Babba’s on my MF sorc…
Drops of 10K or more are not uncommon.
It works properly for the personal tab for each character, but not for the shared tabs. I suspect that particular code wasn’t copied over to the code that governs the shared tabs. Hopefully that means this is an easy fix once they have time.
Edit: I stand corrected, at least as of the latest update. The personal stash tab no longer auto-caps gold and you now have to literally do the math yourself and on top of that, you can’t just put in 3301 if that’s how much gold you have to put in to fill to 2.5M exactly. Noooooo, you have to do +3300, then +1 because for some reason it can’t take the exact amount if it’s larger than a couple hundred gold away.
This really shouldn’t be so hard for them to get right.
