Q about iLvl of amulets

Hi, I want to craft some amulets.

If I find an amulet from a chest or barrel in a terror zone, the iLevel of the item would be the level of the terror zone?

That’s my understanding. The objects in a zone have the same level as that zone, so it would be the level of the terror zone in your situation.

IIRC you need ilvl89 to roll +2 skills, and if gambling you need clvl93 to ensure you got ilvl89, but with TZ, you’d basically just need lvl 87 character.

I don’t remember where I saw it but as I got it, the ilvl of chests/barrels etc stay the ilvl of the original zone but the monsters get the terror zone ilvl. Thus for crafting you need the amy of a monster drop, not a chest drop. I’ve just been using drops to be safe.

That is why I asked the question.
It is a good thing I kept separate, the drops from the monsters and the ones from the chests.

If they’d only code a small tooltip function on craftable/rerollable items to show the ilvl… It’d clear a lot of this confusion up. Quality of life addition? Yes, I think so.

ok Macro’s video says chests are ok, but I know I saw something that said only the monsters have an increase in level and not the area. It all depends on if, when an area gets terrorized, they up the entire area or just the monsters in an area. I personally think they just up the monsters as that seems easier to code than to up the whole area.

The monster levels are based on the area level, so it’s actually easier just to manipulate the area level. When your character levels up right in the middle of a TZ, the TZ area level doesn’t change until you either restart the game or the next TZ rolls in.

if Zax is correct (and I don’t doubt that) than items from barrels/chest are one level lower than from normal monsters:

Objects lvl=zone level. So if zone is 90 objects are 90. Only exception are weapon racks and armor stands. Both are zone-1 so one level lower. Items from objects in terror zones are also dropping higher tc items accordingly to level increase with exception of fixed loot from superchests amd runes. Runes are fixed per acts, not per level of objects.
