All this talk about WSG being vital to the pvp balance just has me facepalming. When was D2 PVP EVER fair and balanced? You have absorb items which can COMPLETELY nullify elemental attackers, full rejuv pots in pvp, revive stacking, etc.
Just look at what my old BM Hdin was capable of:
-I could full sorb any elemental attacker, and mostly sorb mixed teams of elemental attackers even if they had conviction mercs.
-I could hit for 15-17k unresistable damage depending on my gear.
-I could get revives with the runeword eternity and use them with the vive stacking glitch to block the damage of bowazons/necros/other hdins/etc.
-If I needed even more stacked resists I could get fade and use thawing pots/antidotes to further stack resists if I was up against a particularly scary blizz sorc or hybrid WW sins.\
How does any of this seem balanced? D2 pub duels were always the literal wild west and a big scuffed mess. The goal was to go in, collect some ears, and make em rage quit.
PvP was balanced because players used simple rulesets that prohibited things like excessive absorb, full rejuv pots or revives.
tldr kid talking about BM pub dueling. Amazing
This guy knows some inbalance in PvP
You’re coming from the mindset of someone who has never done ‘real’ pvp, which is understandable.
I recommend trying fpk, it’s the most fun you’ll have for pvp in an arpg. There are rulesets, bm and gm.
lol what, if you’re in a BM pub game, how do you have time to absorb all elements?
GM PvP hosted in private games, which is what most great duelers from 2000-2010 participated in, had specific rules to prevent those bullcrap tactics to winning. Hammerdins were generally laughed at in GM PvP as they are very easily counterable by wind druids, necros, trapsins/ghosts, even smart ww barbs properly using leap had no problems with hammerdins.
now if we’re talking about BM pub dueling, your bm hdin ain’t nothing. come on, there were summon necs out there that would have a friend or 2nd application join up to enchant their merc. plus who cares, BM FoHs pallys were wayyyy more fun to cheese with…
