PVP on console, few questions

Greeting fellow console players. Long story short, planning to transition from PC to consoles(buying Xbox S), and was wondering about if any people play PVP at consoles at all and if there is a console pvp community, can any expirienced pvp players give me some info on how it feels to pvp on consoles, is is drasticly different from PC?(for better or worse). Thanks in advance and cheers!

No experience pvping on console but my guess is it is going to be very different from PC. Targeting is completely different and teleporting is a very inaccurate skill on console. Meele duels should be roughly similar though.

Yeah, i thought the teleporting is the biggest difference from PC, correct me if im wrong, but on consoles you can’t control the lenght of your teleport, the distance is fixed since you can’t aim it at the location you want.
As far as i know, on consoles targeting just chooses the closes target to you and aim at it, dunno if thats good for pvp or not, trying to decide to play on pc on consoles.

Yes teleporting is a set distance so tele stomping is not an option. Skills are pretty auto aim but that is counter productive for pvp sometimes where you want to aim where they may be going, not where they are.

Yup, as the others have said, the PvP is wonky on console. My biggest gripe is honestly having items still appear near you. There is no /nopickup so when ears are nearby, and they will be, you can start to target those instead of other players. Which leads to some frustrations, Haha.

I do play PvP on Xbox, and because telestomp is harder (not impossible because you get used to judging the distance you need) there tends to be a wider variety of builds floating around. Hammers aren’t quite as pervasive as in pc PvP.

Everyone is comparing to pc… who cares about pc in my opinion (waaah… tele distance, who gives a jack about teleport). I’ve seen at least 1 or 2 games devoted to pvp, so it definitely exists. I prefer controller over mouse but these fan boys will say something else.

Definitely different but in some ways I feel like it makes very small changes to what’s meta because it’s mechanical differences.

Ex I started a blizz sorc on release and honestly bc of the targeting it was not out performing orb.

Too often is target the mob front and center over and over so by the time blizz casted down I was really only hitting the strays in the back. Causing me to get whipped by the mobs up front. Can’t cast infront of them.

Frozen orb felt night and day better then a blizz sorc. The only downside was longer boss fight but ultimately worth.

To anyone who has the option I’d pick pc. To anyone who doesn’t or any other reason, everything has it’s place and the playing field is equal.

Diablo is a game that was created for PC. The mechanics/balancing have all been done around PC. We are just stating that subtle changes regarding controller vs mouse and keyboard make a big difference in gameplay. No one is crying and I’m pretty sure everyone in the console section plays on console so I don’t see your point.
