Pure raw highest 2H dmg

Look, i have a chargadin, and i’d like to equip him the HIGHEST damage possible 2H weapon out there. What is it? what can it be?

The best i can think of now is Ethereal BOTD on War Pike.
Can there be better? Is there another 2H weapon that can achieve higher raw damage than ETH BOTD War Pike? I dont care about attack speed of weapon. Slow is OK.

This is for my charadin so i can 1 shot in PvP.

BotD in Thunder Maul reach higher damage (both ethereal), Rare Thundermaul with max ed, fools, 2 sockets (ohm, ohm), even more (can get + max damage too) good luck with the latter though.

What makes war pike better than thunder maul is range of 4 instead of 2

Both thunder & pike are trash compared to ogre maul or archon staff.

Reason is because 33 base vs 77-90 on those.

Think about it, 50% of your charges will kill instantly… or 100% with damage % increase (might merc or last wish, fortitude chest, steelrend etc etc)

Dont listen to any clown that would accept a failed charge. Never touch high range weps over high base damage consistency

Facts. This is the same reason grief is so good. Consistent average damage > occasional really high damage.

Good point. We want amazing averages without deep valleys.

The funny thing is that the archon staff is actually the best by that standard, with an 83 minimum dmg.

I’ve always felt it was ironic that it was the highest damage melee weapon.

Fun fact: mace mastery will work with staves.

Death in ethereal Decapitator because of almost 50% deadly strike chance at lvl 99.

Thanks everyone. God forbid, there is no way i am equipping a Staff for my paladin. It just doesnt feel right. How in the world a staff ditches out more melee damage than normal conventional weapon is beyond me.

I think I’ll stick with the War Pike. thanks guys.

The highest top end damage would be an eth rep cruel rare thundermaul with 450ed socketed with two ohms.

That would do 269-1755 damage.

For comparison a perfect ebotd thundermaul does 252-1390
