Purchased Diablo II: Resurrected — Showing “Active” but Client Still Requires Purchase

Hi Blizzard Support & Community,

I’m posting here because I’ve exhausted every possible support channel and still haven’t received any meaningful resolution.

I purchased Diablo II: Resurrected through Battle.net (not third-party), but after reinstalling my system and the Battle.net client, the game now prompts me to purchase it again.

My account clearly shows Diablo II: Resurrected – Status: Active in the Games & Subscriptions section. However, the launcher does not provide any option to install or play, only to buy again.

I’ve contacted support multiple times. One GM acknowledged the game is active, but later I was told no order exists — possibly due to a free weekend? That makes no sense, as trials do not trigger an “Active” license.

Unfortunately, I cannot retrieve payment records older than 2 years from my bank, so I don’t have access to the transaction ID. However, this does not change the fact that my account still shows ownership.

To Blizzard:
Please escalate this type of issue. A paying customer who lost access due to backend entitlement failure should not be told to “re-buy the game.” This is exactly the kind of case where manual intervention is needed.

To the community:
Has anyone else experienced similar problems with older purchases vanishing from transaction history but still showing “Active”? Any suggestions or escalation paths would be appreciated.

Thanks.
