Blizzard asked 100 people, “If you could do one thing to fix ES Warlocks, what would you do?”
And then they took every unique answer, and added all of them.
Like… this is a scattered mess. Why are we nerfing Ring of Fire??? LMAO??? I don’t even USE it, because it’s such an insignificant boost to my DPS that I don’t find it worth using in comparison to just being lazy. If I Teleport into a crowd of enemies, I’m just as well served waiting on Flame Wave’s slow animation, as I am spamming Ring of Fire to actually kill normal enemies.
Why are we restricting the 2H weapon thing to be only if you’re using a book?
WHY are we nerfing Bind chance??? Why are we even LOOKING at Bind chance, for any reason other than just making it 100% chance???
Bro, why are we capping GOAT MAN???
Hell, I’m not gonna nitpick every little thing here, but I COULD. It’s like I said. It really just feels like they polled 100 random people on the street, and everyone tried to give a clever roundabout way of nerfing Warlock (even though ONLY ES was the problem), and they just said, “YES, we’ll add ALL of that!”
Such a bizarre set of PTR notes. Luckily, it’s just PTR (famous last words), but well… there y’go. That’s the feedback, lol.
Well the new patch notes are out and set in stone. They went back on a lot of warlock nerfs actually. Warlock is still going to be very powerful. I’m guessing 60-70 of those random people surveyed in your example basically loved having an OP character in D2R and blizz listened to them.
I do agree on bind chance though. It’s simply a time waster to not make it 100% chance so they keep you in the game longer. The pokemon mechanic was a horrible idea.
Christ I really don’t get this response. It’s everywhere.
THIS RESPONSE implies that there were no overtuned classes before Warlock showed up. I don’t know if YOU are trying to imply that, BUT THE WORDS YOU USE are implying that.
Additionally, again,f or the 100th time, ONLY ES was overtuned. The ONLY THING that needed attention WAS THE ABILITY CALLED “ECHOING STRIKE”.
Flame Wave outperforms Ring of Fire almost, if not, immediately upon getting it.
As for the argument of “it’s the best,” that doesn’t matter. Something has to be the best. Do we just keep nerfing “the best” endlessly? It’s an empty argument.
An unscaled, non geared non synergized fireball (we’re talking about leveling….) Is just objectively way less powerful to clear normal/nightmare, it’s not a contest at all.
Ring of fire was absolutely absurd it was literally laughable. It literally felt like they were going out of their way to tell you “yeah this class is busted”
get the hell out of here with that lmao
Noobs gonna noob
I cannot fathom actually defending the warlocks ease of leveling wirh this skill lmao
Like dude if you have some good Points to make aboit the lock nerfs then stick to them. Ring of fire nerf was OBVIOUS ansld thats why there is ZERO blowback about it even though half the forum is on fire with people demanding refunds over their nerfed lock
It’s so OBVIOUS and BLATANTLY NEEDED that they nerfed it by… … … 15%.
Edit: Nope, sorry, that’s the Flame Wave nerf, lol. Regardless, they said they put it on par with… another Nova skill. In either case, Nova skills are all equally… good, lol. I just don’t know why you have Warlock Derangement Syndrome so bad. What were you crying about before Warlocks even hit the scene? Actual question.
Yep they nerfed it by 15 percent and youre still crying about it lmao
Nerfs to leveling matter, don’t care if you disagree because you’ve demonstrated what an idiot you are lmao
You shouldnt be able to clear the damn screen at level 6 lmao, It was absolutely effortless AND trivialized what is often the only part of thr hardcore journey thst does have some risk- when you are under geared and leveling.
Youre just a noob and the more you cry aboit blatantly needed nerfs the more everyone can see they don’t need to care what you think
They were but not that massively like warlock. If you char can clear anything on p8 with mediocre gear, something is wrong dude. And no, not only ES was overtuned.
