The act bosses are extremely weak and are amongst the least engaging battles. I would urge the developers to consider buffing some of their attacks to promote exciting gameplay…
Andariel
- Increase projectile speed of Poison Spray
Duriel
- Will now use Charge attack once again
Mephisto
- Flying and not impeded by obstacles
- Will now cast cold\lightning spells more often and attack less often
Diablo
- Increase damage of Fire Nova
- Red Lightning gap at start of attack removed
Baal
- Clone will not despawn when player goes to town and not distinguishable by “Demon label" being slightly offset
- Will now cast Festering Appendages more often when player in melee range

While I agree with buffing bosses (a more difficult game is a happier me), I don’t think buffing magic resistances is the best solution. This only makes the bosses better against casters. Now, if you buffed magic AND physical resistance… now we’re talking. A better solution in my opinion would be to buff their HP and just give them an extra damage reduction factor, like how in Hell monsters only take a quarter of the damage, bosses maybe only take 10%.
I do like a lot of your other ideas, though!
Also, increase Duriel’s run speed enough to make him more difficult, but not impossible, to run away from him.

While I agree with most of what you said, I think making act bosses harder for casters is actually a good thing. This gives a niche role for melee being better boss killers. Casters pretty much own everything else with all the powerful AOE spells.
While this is true, I’m just speaking from a sense purely of making the game harder. Melee characters still have an easy time with these changes, so I was thinking of a solution that would make it hard on them, too. Bosses are just too easy in general.

He doesnt actually even use Charge any more btw. just jab

Completely agree and have Duriel once again use Charge attack!
I was wondering why Duriel feels underwhelming now… no Charge explains it.
I am in for some buffing of the bosses, but careful, so that melee characters can still kill them…

Completely agree and buff the bosses with a measured hand. Right now the battles with the act bosses is like tearing a wet paper bag.
