First things first…WELCOME!

I would just like to make a small post here to give a little help to the new brothers and sisters who are either returning to D2 or are just starting here. I see a lot of people who are just starting their grind and would like to assist in specifying ways for you guys to accumulate some quick wealth. As many of us on here know, the grind can be tough and you may not be getting the runes you are hoping for. Keep grinding it will come. On that note there are services new players can provide that you may not know have value. So here is a small list of things of value that people are looking for that will help you start bank rolling. Veterans, feel free to add to this list as you see fit.

Collect your gems, 40 pgems are an Ist rune, junk jewels are another great one to collect while starting. You wont encounter many GG jewels worth keeping, so start stashing. When you get a 100 of each transfer them to a mule character and hold them.

Your socket quests that you get from Larzuk, SAVE THEM. SAVE THEM for yourself in your end builds when your hitting lvl 80+…OR sell them off, veterans will ALWAYS be looking for socket quests. These can sell from anywhere from Ist (low end now) all the way to a BER!!! if you are lucky and if the purchaser wants it stat LOL.

Perfect Amethyst and Perfect Rubies trade at a higher rate than other pgems, so save them separately.

Gold is also a good way, 10 million gold is around an Ist, and can be farmed with relative ease over your play.

Crafting Materials - This include alot of lower runes you will find in normal and nightmare mode. such as Nef, Rals or the spirit pack deals which are 10 each (tal, thul, ort, amn, and hels) are among the most popular.

dang man youre blowing the cover… it took me 8 months to figure that out !! lol… hope they can understand it and realize playing for it is funner than paying for it ! thats my opinion anyways… good games everyone see you out there

Nice post. Wish I had known some of this stuff when I started playing again a year ago. I think the other things worth collecting/selling are runeword bases. Depending on stats can go from Mal/Ist to High runes.

I only know a few but perhaps others can chime in what’s worth keeping. I’d be happy to compile a list with the feedback.

Armors:
Def roll is important. Enhanced Def. (10-15%) or Perfect bases ones are worth more.

Non-eth:
3os mage plates (only superior with ED)
Archon plate 4os
Duskshroud/wirefleece 3os/4os
Sacred armor 4os (only sup with ED)

Eth:
Any elite armor with ED min. 10% and 4os

Weapons:
Eth elite polearms 4os (for insight or infinity)
Eth mancatcher 4os
Eth Colossus blade 0os or 6os
Eth berserker axe 0os or 6os
Phase blades superior only 3os or 6os

for crafting blood items. especially glove and helm. and some people might do belt also.
People pay alot for good blood glove and helm that is used for PVP.

Make tokens from the essences from the bosses in hell.

Collect key sets 3 x 3 x 3 of the keys from the countess, summoner, and nilathac(?)

These items can give you a goal to sell for runes instead of relying on random rune drops.

3os is actually worth more. Useful for enigma, treachery, duress. 4os is used for more runewords, but you can Larzuk socket quest for 4 sockets, even superior, so they aren’t as hard to get, where you have to find 3os superior archon, and non superior you would have to gamble with the cube to try to roll 3 sockets.

And 5os, since pb is the fastest weapon for grief. Not as sought after as some other bases because it has such short attack range so it’s only good for pvm, not pvp, but superior 5os is definitely worth picking up.

Except colossus voulge because its bad and slow and nobody wants it.

Are you planning on updating this?
Would be great, if we gather more informations and this could be a sticky.
Also with some updated prices, for runes, bases etc.

If I had known some stuff before, the grind wouldnt have been so hard :slight_smile:

And would also protecting new people into the game, from getting ripped off.

I thought “superior” had no effect on brief 's straight damage ?

grief has no ed on the rw, but the base can have enhanced dmg that will work on the base itself, not the +dmg from grief. so yes superior bases for grief are desirable
