I’ve recently bought the game on console and was wondering if it’s worth it the ps+ subscription and play online. How it the population, is it worth it?
I’m on switch.
I started offline in the beginning and switch over to ladder once it started. It’s now Ladder Season 12.
There are 3 modes. Ladder(Online), Non ladder(Online) and Offline.
I would say beginning of every ladder is popular. And slows down during the 3-4 months period.
Non ladder might be slower only because players create more private games. You play at your pace.
Offline for the challenge. Plus the maps never change unless you change difficulty (Normal, Nightmare and Hell). You can create any runeword available. Max 30 characters while Online is 24 at this moment.
I would say ladder is worth it and fun.
If you get serious with it, it might be worth purchasing a PC copy just to use with GeForce Now cloud service (can run on anything) for trading items. I find trading on console to be a bit difficult even when utilizing discord. There’s just a lot more players on PC. Then you can load the character up on your console again to continue playing.
