PS5 Graphical Error - D2:R

Happens about once a day where I have to reset the game from the consoles home page.

Usually results when cold abilities (Ice Orb or Blizzard) / any Cold/Lightning Novas shoot off from any surrounding player/enemies. They’ll turn into black bricks and then also the Blue TP’s will not display having invisible TP’s when used or another player uses to get to town or come from town.

I’ll try to take an console screenshot next time it happens. I do stream often as well, so it’s probably on one of the long streams on my twitch if I need to refer you to the issue.

(Added Edit Below)

I should mention I put the game into performance mode too if that makes any difference on the console. Since otherwise it chugs even on the playstation 5 in graphical mode.

What console are you on bud? If it’s last gen (ps4 or any Xbox variant) this is easily fixed. If not, I can’t help.

But the fix for last gen is get a cheap SSD off Amazon put D2r on there and run of off that. A lot of the lag is due to the HDD not being able to read and offer the information quick enough.

£30 SSD reduced my loads times massively. From dashboard to D2r home WAS 1min6sec, after the SSD, it’s now 16 secs, game doesn’t stutter or render slowly etc. All solved by using an SSD, hope this helps

Hey NextrosaX this happens on the PS5. I found the issue in one of my streams and clipped it. If I need to post off here to show the issue, let me know.

That ones new to me as the cure to most issues is read speed. And the PS5 should have good read speeds off the SSD. Though should you ever want to upgrade your SSD, best bet for yourself would tlbe the Western Digital black range. Insane read speeds, though also have some insane prices :man_facepalming: 500gb is around £100 and they only go up from there.

Though this could be due to how the PS5 accesses it’s information as the SSD has always lost against the Xbox SSDs. If I get time I’ll look into further and let you know what I find bud.

From the quick look I had, it’s either your SSD needs an upgrade (ps5 has had SSD issues), or a software issue withing your OS. Factory reset occasionally works but also tends to make things worse long term. Check for updates on your drivers and OS, should you be fully updated, an external SSD upgrade would definitely solve your problems and speed up your load times considerably. Your internal SSD will handle the OS and low latency games, and your external SSD can be for the games heavily dependent on load times (D2r, cod, destiny etc) and improve overall performance.

Hopefully this can lead to a resolution to your problem bud.

I’ll give the reset a shot. If not, I may need to consider an upgrade to the hard-drive either way. Thanks for the time and research!

You’re more than welcome bud, again the top external gaming SSD to get would be the Western Digital black, NVMe drive. Hopefully you’re playing lag free bud
