LG OLED CX with latest software update. PS5 has latest update. Background fps seems low, around 30 fps and blurry, causes eye fatigue after awhile. My character is detailed and looks to be locked in at 60 fps. Has anyone else noticed this? I’m absolutely loving this game, I’m rolling a Barbarian named TinyRick
eyyy sup i play on pc. are you running in performance mode or quality mode on ps5?
Quality, I’m 95 percent sure. I’ll have to check in the am though and get back to you, if I wake my Wife there will be double-hell to pay
Change to performance mode in video settings. I have it on that on my PS5, 60 fps super smooth.
there you go :3 try playing in performance mode, thank you Rosen for lending a hand.
Thanks, I’m super excited to try this in the morning, thank you both
As for the blurrines, maybe your TV is attempting some “smart” upscaling? Are you playing in the TV’s “game mode”? Then all post processing should be off.
Performance mode setting change from quality fixed the issue. The game plays much more fluidly now. Thanks again! I love easy fixes
I agree I play on ps5 performance mode looks and plays smoother in quality it looks like motion blur for me on the ground and made my eyes hurt plus rather play 60 fps them 30
What if the perfomance mode looks as bad as the quality mode?
Even in performance, the dungeons are blurry as hell. Only dungeons. The world outside looks fine.
I play on a samsung 4K TV (non-oled).
Gaming mode is off.
I’m noticing the same stuff on an LG OLED - it’s almost giving me a headache after a few hours of play.
I’m pretty sure it’s not a TV issue, as it’s extremely visible on ground item labels - when you move around the labels stutter badly, although one would expect them to stay in the same location in world space.
It’s bearable if you only look at your character while moving through the dungeons, but that’s hardly a fix. D3 didn’t have issues like this.
Gaming mode should be ON. Or else you get post processing which you do not want when playing games.
It’s not about post processing. I’m a software engineer with my share of experience in computer graphics. The tool tip you get on ground items is stuttering like its position is not fixed (say a rounding error in parallax displacement)
I’ve shot a couple of videos with my phone and figured I could use slo-mo to highlight the issue. Seems to me now that it’s not an issue of low FPS, but rather some kind of jitter (background moves back and forth).

I’ve added a couple of spaces to each link so I can post it.
It’s weird, I posted a few vids last night but the post seems to have been deleted (no URLs in posts?). Anyways, I’ll open up a Bug on this and if anyone is curious, I can probably DM you the links to the vids.
I’m talking about blurrines, not text flickering around.
I recorded a slo-mo of my TV whilst moving around - the “background” seems to be jittering for the lack of a better word and it makes everything look blurry (it’s especially annoying for text). The playing character is fine though.
Check out the video here: D2 Resurrected FPS issue - YouTube
This is super slo-mo (240fps IIRC), so it makes the issue very obvious. At normal speed it just looks blurry.
Thanks for the answer.
I’ve tried many different settings and combinations on the tv. HDR+ on/off, gaming mode on/off, all contrast/sharpness options, auto motion…
None of them can erase this ****** motion blur.
The only solution i found is to play the PS4 version. But this looks like (sorry…)
Performance mode works wonders and isn’t all that different.
Still baffles me the PS5 has an option…just let us play at 60 and look boxes, really not that graphically demanding lol
