I wouldn’t mind to see Enigma teleport going from:
“+1 to Teleport”
to:
“Level 1 Teleport (xx/Charges)”

But… that would be so catastrophic :wink:

I don’t understand why so many people are getting so adamant in nerfing stuff and ruining the fun of others just for the sake of “balancing” a game that’s 99% a single or co-op ARPG. It doesn’t matter if a class is stronger than other, the only thing that really matters is making more builds viable and fun to play so there’s more replay value to this game.

I really liked Patch 2.4 because it allowed me to play a Summoner druid, a Fire Elemental Druid, a ES/Nova Sorceress, a FohDin, a Leap Attack Barbarian, a Bladesin and made other existing builds more fun to play (physical and elemental Bowazons, for example) ¿Are those builds “the meta”? Most aren’t. Are Sorceress and Paladin the stronger classes? They probably are, but who cares? I had a lot of fun, and I’m waiting for Patch 2.5 so I can hork cows with my Leap Attack barbarian, which was not viable before :slight_smile:

tl;dr: please stop asking for nerfs, they don’t make the game any funnier or open new possibilities.

Maybe because nothing can compete with sorc or enigma in terms of speed. Hard to get player count on battle net for MF games. So maybe just switch to single player and adjust player count? Or provide some other armors/gear with FRW for other classes? Enigma is OP with TP and ridiculus FRW, cuz there is just no competition for that…

Better just increase the teleport casting time, just like in Diablo 1. High cast sorceress will don’t feel the difference.

my only suggestion is if they have teleport through an item like enigma, that it doesn’t get the full benefits a sorc would. What I mean by this is, if you have a sorc and put points into teleport, it should have less and less of a cooldown until there is none. I’m not the biggest fan of when an item allows a non-class to have all the plus with no minus. So, if its teleport through an item should always have like a 1-3 sec cooldown.

Do you also suggest reducing the duration of CtA war cries, and what then would you do do with auras from items?

well, yes. I feel an item shouldn’t perform as well or better than the actual class that has it. So for like battle shouts through item, they should be like 25% less duration and maybe 10% less effective for example. Don’t make the class obsolete through an item basically. that way it adds more to class diversity in groups.

well apply the same principle. The build would still be doable and fun with a slight nerf to the abilities gained through items

But it is completely unnecessary. Every character class outside of the barbarian has access to lvl 20 Battle Orders. Just like every character has access to lvl 17 teleport and multiple high level auras.

Your idea takes the already monstrous endgame challenge of 99ing for every class and makes it near impossible.

I see no genuine Diablo 2 logic to changing this in the game.

Is it reasonable that the already underused barb is replaced by someone with items in the group? not really. Just quick example.

All the items and skills would still be there so you could still have your teleporting paladin. It would just have a 1-3 sec cooldown so it couldnt be exactly like a sorc and still have all the benefits of being a pally.

same with items that give auras as you stated. Yes i use and like these items as well. However, is it really ok that an item is just as effective as the class that has the actual ability and spent the time or made the build in a way to use it? not really in any real objective view.

A 10% nerf to items that give a aura or skill and a reduction to the duration of timed abilities like battle shout would in no way

so no need to be dramatic.

Your logic isn’t logical in the context of Diablo 2, no matter what you think. The reason this game was remastered is because of the continuous success of D2LoD v1.14D after D3 was launched. You’re literally suggesting changing what at least 80% of the D2 community love.

99% of the characters I play are barbarian, your idea destroys my endgame, all because you think you know what’s best for the game and it’s community.

Thank goodness Blizzard doesn’t turn my endgame boss runs from 10 minutes to 30 minutes by making me run run run tele run run run tele. I should post a video of exactly what your teleport idea would do to my endgame.
