Why doesnt blizzard make whirlwind proc weapons ability. Those procs arent even as powerful as whatever a paladin can do
Good question. Considering that to make the most enjoyment of a proc whirlwind barb you would be using weapon slots alternative to the top damage producers ( grief / beast ) and that none of the procs are benefiting from synergies or masteries, I cannot see damage being the reason.
Maybe frequent procing of multiple spells was once a graphics overload concern? Certainly graphics cards have been enhanced since that time…
Maybe they dont want whirlwind barbs to have consistent amp damage from Atmas or Lacerator?
yeah,it shoud be since WW is affected by negative curses. and the same to the drinking potion setting.
i know. its already a detriment whirlwinding without being able to drink a potion.
It’s not about graphics cards it’s about how the game was designed and how it functions. There’s a reason there’s delays on things like Immolation arrow (despite them lowering it, they can’t remove the delay because it would/could cause game crashes). There’s a reason there are breakpoints and limits to attack speed and procs and etc. Please don’t advocate for an unstable broken game simply because you think it’d be cool to spin around attacking at 4frames along with proccing god knows how much stuff. And that would just be one person…now imagine 8. There’s reasons for these things.
Its 2022. People play games on i7 and i9s. Not Pentium 3 processors
Id be interested to see someone who can do custom mods make a test video with whirlwind able to proc casts, while using Hell Mouths, Destruction PB, Phoenix, Dragon, and Atmas
