there no good spears in diablo 2 non. let me point this out to everyone spears are not polearms. so those runewords only work on polearms. dont work on spears. and unique spears correctly in the game. are trash
they need to work on set of high level spears for this build to work. am not talkin about javalins

The problem is the dodge/evade interaction with fend currently. If the devs fix that and buff the Java melee skills. She should end up alright.

Yeah it’s decently pricey, but that is an endgame one. I wouldn’t mind them opening up some polearm runewords and allowing them to be made in spears though.
As for midrange things, you’d have to use a lycanders flank etc for now.
They should just open Pole Arm rune words to include Spears.
I know the game categorized them differently, but Spears are a pole weapon. No reason to not have those runewords work in spears if they work in Pole Arms.
I think that would be the best route. Some of the modded versions of D2 have already done it and it works well.
Exactly this. It’s already been done before and has been proven to work. I’ve been posting since they announced melee Amazon buffs and has begged for polearm runewards to be useable in spears. If this doesn’t happen I fear this build will stay bottom of the barrel.
