Private/Player hosted servers - Please

You know what would be great!

If your players had the option to host a server for their friends and family, with incredible performance that most companies cannot afford to host for 20+ years with no continuous revenue generation.

If we didn’t have to worry about communities like the d2jsp one crashing the server all weekend to dupe items, (Its happening, I’ve experienced it myself by accident when servers crashed after trading).

If we could create characters that can access our private server but NOT bnet or ladder servers because all we want to do is play together and not harm the integrity of the official servers.

We pay the server cost, We buy your game, We continue to love it for years to come and we buy future products.

I don’t see the downside, this game does not have a continuous revenue system… It would be no different than how Ark allows us to do this, Age of Conan allows us to do this, Left 4 Dead 2 allows us to do this, Don’t Starve Together allows us to do this, and many many more.

So please… Allow us to do this

Myself and two brothers were farming keys for ubers.
each take a boss and have players 3 drop rate.

We all were tossing the keys to the same brother who’s storing them to then open the portals. I crashed and then was locked out for a couple hours shortly after giving him my keys.

When I logged in hours later I still had my keys, and so did he.

Me laughing at anyone who believes what they wish were the case without any facts or knowledge into the matter, but instead an abundance of reports of the opposite.

sadly its still very common and the most used method involves crashing the servers.
