Private servers, modding

Blizzard if you do not want to update D2R anymore can we at least get an option of buying a hosted private server where we can start our own ladder being able to modify some things(like removing mosaic) and a person who bought server can ban bots manually himself?

But then fewer people would spend on bnet balance every reset to convert to FG and buy gear.

But that would reduce the already dismal income of mass botters who run the item sites that constantly spam the lobby, game list, and occasionally join your game to spam the chat there.

But then Micro-Buzzard would make less discounted sales of D2R every time they do a soft ban wave.

Blizz themselves will never provide an alternative option to Bnet especially after they already removed TCP/IP from D2R, just gotta wait for the community to make private server architecture which they already are.

Is there somewhere this is being documented that people could follow? Super interested in tracking the progress of this.

Some of my mates setup and offline version which is allowed and you can see it in YT.

Still many ppl not touching the aspects of online-clients and more.

We are still working to do many other changes before anyone goes online.

Before an D2R client should get online, many other work need to be done.

And also we would like if blizzard provides us a clearance for it.

We dont need actually modding support from them more a clearance is required.

About in modding, check youtube there is a lot information provided, maybe you find the way…
