I lucked out on finding one and I’m curious about the value since it’s perfect on the important rolls.
I’m contemplating trading it or keeping it for my sorc for future use if/when I convert her to the endgame lightning build.

Wow thats impressive and trumps my 18/15 that dropped a couple of nights ago. Traderie has several for 6 ber so I would think 5+… I changed to lightning from cold after I found mine and its been a pretty big difference going from monsters walking through my blizzard to them instantly getting pulverized.

edit: Man yours even got high defense… literally only 6 defense away from being entirely perfect. crazy.
double edit: and -20 at enemy resist which is much more important than 15% light damage.

I’ve seen a guy get an offer for 7 bers, but the guy selling still wanted more. Not sure how that turned out.

I sold a similar one recently for 6 ber if that helps. Had many 5+ offers. If you want to wait weeks or facet it with a 5/5 you could possibly get 7,but it would be challenging.
If you use a damage calculator you will see how little impact the stats have on your damage overall. I would definitely sell it unless you are really wealthy and don’t need the runes.
Even a 15/10 is a significant damage boost but unless you min max 20 15 isn’t worth it. So I sold it and basically got 6 ber and a low roll free after it was all said and done.

Thank you very much for that detailed and thought out reply. Puts things in better perspective for me. I’m not exactly rich in game, and I’ve never spent an irl dollar for gear, so I try to make the most of what I get. If I may ask, did you list it here or elsewhere?

Had it listed here, diablo io, traderie and discord. Ultimately sold it on discord. I would definitely list in many places and wait many days before selling. Most people that offer less than 5.5 ber are trying to get it from you to resell. There of tons of people spamming discord asking for your helm for 3 ber. They do it all day in the hopes of getting one to instantly resell for a 2 ber min profit. They have wtb lists that fill the whole screen with low offers and wts lists that fill the whole screen with expensive prices… i wouldn’t even bother with those people its not worth your time. The guy that bought mine was pretty nice and already had a 24/20 and wanted to min max.
As I played mainly self found and also dont spend real money on this game, the sale of the helm opens lots of possibility for you gearing many characters. Its basically like 3 enigmas to put it in perspective. We don’t have long until the ladder so unless you care about perfect gear i would sell.
Definitely use traderie and search feature on discord to learn the market it is very helpful. With 6 ber in the bank you can make smart trades too and get gear almost free off of them. Money makes money.
I will tell you upfront it is a pain to sell though. My most frustrating experience since launch.
I agree with everything you say. 3 bers is too low but at 7 bers you squeezed out all the juice of that lemon, probably why is was a frustrating experience to go through that process

@jlc I agree and normally I wouldn’t wait so long to trade and would lower price to move it fast, but I feel due to the rarity of getting a 20/15 it was warranted. I could have gotten 7 early on but didn’t know the prices enough to figure out of the offer was good. It was in five different types of runes.
With that said if you want a fast sale on this I would say 5.5 ber is pretty easy to get.
That’s the other thing too, while I would like to make the most of my sale, I do want both parties to be more than happy to deal. Looks like 6 bers seems to be the sweet spot for now… We shall see!
Update - We got the 7 Bers+. I expected to hold out, but the offer was just too good for me to refuse as a poor player lol
