Post Patch 1.14d Content - Patch 1.15?

Here’s some ideas for expanded content/balance patch while taking minimal effort from the D2R Dev Team:

  1. Add a new checkbox to make new character for 1.15 and beyond, similar to how there’s a button to make a character pre-LOD.
  2. Unique-Runeword-Set Item Balance - Balance all unique items to be comparable to runewords. For example, spirit sword can be used by all casters and is available starting mid-normal to end-nightmare (viable even in entry hell). Currently unique caster weapons are “class specific” BUT ITS WEAKER than spirit. Therefore, buff all unique caster weapons to be stronger than spirit. Another example is that a majority of sets are more rare than “Spirit” but it is significantly worse.
  3. End game content - Let’s face it, it will take too much effort for Blizzard to implement any new mechanics for end game. Perhaps the most straight forward way would be to add a game mode after hell with tweaked stats. Inferno? Make the game harder with more complex mechanics instead of simply “bigger numbers”.
    3a. -150% resist for inferno difficulty?
    3b. All monsters have double immunities.
    3c. Special mobs have 5 modifiers (instead of hell’s 4 modifier) and minimum 3 immunities depending on the random modifiers.
    3d. Bring back full power of monsters and modifiers such as “Multishot Lightning Enchanted” and “Iron Maiden”. There may be others…
    3e. No more “trash mobs”. All monsters are in special mob pack. More special mob packs without changing loot table or monster density would still result is more and better loot. Imagine this: A special mob with curse, extra fast, extra strong, fanat aura, multishot is next to another special mob with stone skin, conviction aura, lightning enchanted, fire enchanted, and multishot. What if a third special mob is mixed in there as well.)
    3f. All monsters are same monster level as Minion of Destruction in Hell.
    3g. All act bosses have stats similar to Hell “uber” bosses.
  4. Combat skills synergy - Buff the few skills that have no synergies by adding to those skills synergies. It is debatable whether the frame rate attack speed “bug” could be considered as a “feature” to stay.
  5. Add stash tab to combine gems and runes.
  6. Other ideas?
