Possible grief nerf would end my d2 build

I hear grief might get Nerf. Why? Its not so powerful as the skill blizzard. I cant just end an entire pvp game with grief. But a blizzard sorc can cast blizzard on town entrance and end a pvp game even with max cold resist And 2 raven frost blizzard still one shots me. Plus using grief you still have to chase down people with fast cast and hit them usually a couple times. Grief is not Op. blizzard sorcs are breaking the game they literally broken.

Did you hear about this nerf from the same place you heard that the Cold Plains waypoint couldn’t be used to backtrack to the Blood Moor?

You’re making a wildly unfair comparison of two vastly different things.

Grief should be compared to other weapon solutions, not the skill of a caster who can’t use Grief.

Grief invalidates virtually every other weapon option. That said, nothing is being “nerfed” as far as I’m aware. Other things are being brought in line to make other builds viable or more viable.

Wrong there needs to be a powerful wepon like grief for melee to contend with fast cast.

Also if they nerf grief and buff auras on pali then auradins gona just charge around and everyone gonna die. Blizzard has no idea.

When items are nerfed in Diablo 2, existing items aren’t affected. Your Grief will forever be how it currently is. There are already bazillions of Griefs on D2R non-ladder, and they will always be there. So nobody will lose anything.

It would only affect new Griefs that are made. And so it would only really affect ladder.

You haven’t heard anything about it, because it isn’t going to be nerf. At least nothing official that been said till now mention nerf to anything. Anything else is speculation.

Who cares about PVP? This isn’t a PVP game. It just has the convenient or inconvenient ability to PVP. That is literally a feature though and not a core of the game. If you are basing nerfs or buffs to characters off of some niche thing in a game you are doing it wrong. Not only that, but nerfs because X class is too powerful is stupid in a game when you can play that character anytime you want. Buff because a character is not performing, but don’t nerf. Especially not to a game that is already well established.

IIRC, nothing in the patch notes suggest nerfs of any kind. Only buffs. How long that design criterion remains is anyone’s guess.

Because he is so bad that he cannot live without grief, and even fail to beat blizzard sorc as a paladin, and have to cry about needing blizzard instead.
