[Poll] Will you play D2R once you'll finish the grind?

Hello mates

In this discussion some colleagues don’t agree that high runes drops are way too low, and they claim HR drops have to be low as they are because otherwise people will get bored, and abandon playing Diablo 2 Resurrected. That it is the grind for years which thrills to keep playing.

Well…let’s find out:

  1. Some people assume dropes are more common than they actually are just because they can trade something they find for a high rune (which was likely botted), even if they can’t find the rune themself

Here are the actual drop rates along with a drop rate calculator linked: https://www.reddit.com/r/Diablo/comments/nm0g3i/the_math_of_how_astronomical_rune_droprates/

  1. Then you have an odd vocal minority of the community who thinks Diablo II was the perfect game and that absolutely no changes should be made and even argued against things like shared stash and even asked for bugs like 256x extra manaburn not to be fixed

Most people are going to just burn out and realize it’s better to invest their several hours a day into their career or other part of their life and not dedicate it to a 22 year old video game - the people who already did this and left aren’t going to be voting unfortunately

Back in D2X days and dupe economy I had Enigma, CTA and Infinity on every caster, eBotd etc on melee, In pre-ladder I was able to get only 1 Ber… do you see where I’m going? When you done dressing your first “barbie” you’re moving on dressing next one. If people call D2 repetitive how different it from farming same raid for few month in Wow? D2 is alt friemdly and so many interesting specs.

Rune drop rates while low are not an issue imo, there are way bigger issues that id like Blizzard to tackle first , lobbies, bots , region locking games (i dont kow if this is even a thing but feels like it), the disparity between unique and Runewords. Runewords ruined D2 imo they should never have been this powerful , 1.10 patch was always stupid but thats my opinion.

To answer the question though , yea I get what I set out to get then I generally stop playing til next reset. Like im pretty much done playing online atm.

The grind never finishes.
