True it does. But giving D2R ploot will NOT turn it into D3. Not even a little. That wasn’t even in the top 10 reasons why D3 was bad.
The main things that ruined D3s replayability:
- No lobbies, no trading and soulbound items
- Unlimited respecs and the Rune skill system
- Horrible loot system that had bad legendaries raining from the sky.
- post-launch power creep.
As long as these specific changes don’t come to D2:R. There is no chance itll suddenly morph into D3 just because of personal loot. As all the ploot advocates have pointed out, ploot wouldn’t increase drops, the same amount of loot would still be entering the economy. Not even a huge change tbh.
