Please stop asking for Changes. This is D2 remade to accommodate for modern devices. Changing anything else will change the game. Leave the changes to quality improvements. leave the game as is. Characters don’t need to be re-balanced. Nothing needs to be nerfed. Everything is as it should be. This is Diablo 2. If you all want to change things go play D3.

Please stop telling other people how they should/want to experience a game. Your money is not worth more than my money and vice versa.
Them adding OPTIONAL OPTIONS to the game doesn’t take a darn thing away from your “100% classic 20+ year old feeling.” You know why? Because YOU can turn them off if YOU don’t want them. There is YOUR “classic version”.
Now stop telling other people how they should be playing/experiencing the game.

yeah i just hope the devs dont listen to the small minority of players on here crying about things that don’t need to be cried over.
there are far larger diablo 2 communities out there that are fine with mostly everything with the game.
i dont mind small QoL changes, but i’d hate to think they’d cater to the casual crowd, when they will just quit within 6 months anyway

No, you fail to understand that this remake was for the people that originally fell in love with Diablo 2. This is not and was not meant to be a new game. There is a reason why Diablo 3 exists and Diablo 4 is coming soon.

If you want to relive original game, old D2 is there for you. D2R can be so much better and now they have opportunity to make it better and i hope they will to increase replayability even more.

No, you fail to understand that changes are being made to this game and there is Nothing you or the rest of the “purists” can do about it. I personally can’t wait for the /players 8 to come to online games.

I believe they had planned more expansions to D2 “originally” but then decided to work on the MMO of Diablo. It was around that time that Blizzard North went away and just Blizzard took over… D3 was actually created by another team that mostly quit the game over the response to the real money auction house,
D2r is another studio much like how Diablo used Sierra to make Hellfire…
Anyways…. yes they could do expansions and add stuff to D2 while staying with the spirit of the game. They just have to make it work with the assets at hand.

Disagree. PoE is an old game but they have new content, balance updates, features every 3 months to keep it exciting for their fans. Not asking Blizzard to do D2R at the same magnitude but new content for it would be hugely appreciated by their fans. Afterall it’s not D2, it D2R so it should be treated and updated as a modern game.

How many options are you gonna say is too many options? Remember each change can be touted as an option.
Also balance changes are not something that is gonna be optional. I don’t trust Blizz to be doing a good job of balancing this game due to how poorly they do D3, and maybe WoW. Although I haven’t played WoW for many years so I have lost touch with how well balanced the classes and specs are in that game.
