freedom is a dangerous word here…people can have even more fun if you give them that

the sad part of when you think about “freedom” is that you remembers that many died “dreaming” with it and many will still die “dreaming” with it

The idea of freedom is what counts. 
If by freedom you mean expanded modding support (moving more hardcoded stuff to softcode) and reimplementing TCP/IP, yes!
