RD or Realm Down came about in the first couple of years of Diablo II’s existence because people found the only and best way to get needed gear was from repeated Pindle runs.
So Blizzard instituted Realm Down for those so adventurous as to do 2 to 3 minutes runs over and over.
Your game is setup for everyone to do repeated runs over and over in high level areas.
This is how we get gg gear.
For those that have never heard of RD, just understand it was one of the worst things to happen to a new player or old timer.
New player can’t figure out why he can’t log in to play his favorite game.
Old timer pissed cause he got nailed again and can’t log in.
Rd was before lod…I was pissed when you were mulling items then next thing you know you get a Rd for 15 min and your game and all items on the ground are gone…
You dont need a bot to do 1000/1000 manual Pindle runs… They are the fastest 80+ Ilvl area to run if you leave the portal up.
In fact if youre doing them in 1 minute each, pump those numbers up n00b!
Agree with OP though, time to remove the RD restrictions and temp bans for making more then 20 games/hour and what not.
Let manual players play unrestricted again!
I don’t know…if the trade off of clamping down on bots means doing a Pindle-Eldritch-LK sweep instead of straight Pindle, I can see where it makes sense. I know those might not be all the same builds, but you get the idea.
I’ve been doing Pindle Runs, and I can’t log in. Is it possible that I’ve been misrecognized as a botter and that my account is flagged? I was put in a queue before my husband, with a lower number, yet he got in before me. When I went to the “online” tab to access my characters, I was put in yet another queue, and another again. I’m now sitting in my third queue and I don’t know if I’ll be able to play at all tonight.
