After you kill mephisto did you go through the portal?
I kill it, but I do not see any portal. Where is it.
Thank you so much for your help !
If you complete the kill mephisto quest. There should be like a bridge over lava and a portal should open up.
its a red portal in the middle of the area. south west of the mephisto spawn point.
I FOUND THIS, THANK YOU SO MUCH !
THIS IS GREAT ! strong text
amazing. Just yesterday there was a video from Alzorath about D2 review about how the travel from Act3 to 4 is not clear
R O F L. a guide to walk into the portal? what has this world come to?? /
no wonder things are going the way they are.
i didn’t mentioned a guide. It was a review.
I absolutely love seeing this level of excitement from new players on the forums.
Enjoy! Act 4 is my personal favourite, or at least tied with act 1. Love battling the hordes of venom lords
The wholke premise behind the game and the owners manual was for you to explore and learn … there was never any intention of “giving you a free step-by-step guide” …
On the Arreat Summit, under quests, read Act 3 …
"The Guardian
Ormus tells you that Diablo and Baal have surely found the Temple City by now. They seek to free their brother, Mephisto, who was imprisoned by the Horadrim in the Temple’s Guardian Tower. You must reach him before his brothers do and prevent them from releasing Hatred upon the world.
Given by Ormus after smashing the Compelling Orb.
Tip: Search the Durance of Hate in Travincal."
It gives you hints and tips, so you may explore the game and learn, hence driving the excitement of discovery.
Speaking with Cain and going through the various narratives gives hints and clues and provides direction as well.
Simply handing someone the keys and giving them detailed instructions on finding the door does not help them …
I am glad he figured it out, it keeps the game interesting instead of boring.
