Please give us ebugging back

this makes absolutely no sense what you saying. no point in talking to you, game is still great without it.^^

The argument that ebug didn’t add to unique builds is not very strong. Unless unique means yellows that are more one of a kind.

I don’t think 15%ed is meaningless in any sense of the word.

It’s valuable from a defense perspective for your merc to prevent less deaths.

It’s valuable from a player min max perspective as well. The entire game is about loot and playing to perfect your character (to pvp or whatever else you want to do).

Ebug had the same benefit, just 35% more.

15% is not immaterial in this context.

That’s not true because people still want it. And that influences trade. And why removing it, if it is so useless? It’s still a nice little quirk. If you removed all of these little things from D2, it would suck. Hence, you shouldn’t even remove any of them.

Dude, it is not about the merc being better! It is about a gameplay mechanic. And no, it is literally no bug anymore, if you put it in there intentionally this time.

Well then you didn’t play as much as most people or were very lucky. There is a ton of bugs.

That’s what makes it good. If you don’t like it - ignore it. If you like it - spend as much time farming the necessary eth items for it as you like. It’s a little min max thing, that deepens the game a bit. As I said before: if you removed all of these little things from D2, the game would be shallow and dumb. So just don’t remove any of them.

Im not. I am saying, that it generates (way) more valuable grey items. It moves the itemization away from „golden > yellow > blue > white > grey“. There are bases, which are worth a lot right now and you can literally farm them to get HRs.

By removing the ebug, you make grey items less valuable and it might not be worth farming them anymore, since the max of 15% ED is super rare and really does not make a big difference to a normal eth item.

But farming just a normal eth item and get the sockets right is not that big of a deal… I just managed to get 4 sockets on an eth mageplate for 900 armour yesterday. Just missing the Lo rune for fortitude…

It’s something to discover, yes. When I found that (in yt videos or whatever) I thought, this is really cool. It’s yet another way to improve your char.

There are a lot of these things. Many skills give you hidden bonuses, which are intended and it’s really hard to find out by yourself. Look at the paladins resistance skills. They give you more max res.

Or look at hit recovery. Until I started watching yt videos about D2, I never knew, that you are put into HR, when you lose 1/12 of your Health in 1 frame. These are all little things you can learn to improve.

My only real concern with adding ebugging back in is exile shields. I don’t think paladins need that much more def on a shield that never breaks. LOL

how can 50 perc def and some socket to the mercenary armor can add “INCREDIBLE DEPTH” to the game. That is some strong wording there. Could not care less about this bug

Ebugging added merc survivability , and more importantly further Itemization chase items for perfection, be it pvp purposes or otherwise. Removing this cut’s another chunk out of D2R’s statements. And I hope it’s an oversight, why is andy bug still in rofl… why are other random “bugs” still in, if you’re going to screw the 20yr core in a remake like they did with WC3RF just go all out remove all the things that created balance / further depth.

every time the same line when someone says the FACT that this crap is a bug. Its the sagem with changes in D2RE “go play D3”.

Haha guys, youre fanatic purists are maybe a handfull compared to the “normal” gamer. Bug is bug, most of you are cheaters, bugusers.

The good thing is: In most of the other forums the gamers are objective, not like the purists here.
Its sooooo good that blizzard is changing D2RE

Because only eth bug and wsg bug are totally gamebreaking.

If people make topic about such minor things, it is a good sign.
It means, that nothing major and crucial is being overlooked.

WSG bug NOT in D2R = gamebreaking for anyone who knows how to ABUSE FHRlock. and there are A LOOOOT of us who know how to abuse tf out of it. We want it back in to provide an option/counter to abusive builds, as was its purpose when they re-added it after accidently removing it a few weeks later in LOD.

Ehm i know. That is a very good thing. A VERY good thing. WSG is a gamebreaking bug like eth bug.

So you’re saying you enjoy NOT being able to cast/move/run/anything, and enjoy sitting there getting bounced around into perma death?

WSG = hit wep swap, allows u to cancel your stun animation DO SOMETHING.
NO WSG = la de da you’re booped into oblivion 100-0 congrats no wsg to move.

NO WSG= abusable builds, who tf is advocating for unfair pvp and 100% griefable mechanics… apparently you.

And to be more clear WSG was a core mechanic from the start, removed by accident during animation change patch in 2018, SWIFTLY RE ADDED FOR PVP BALANCE 24 days later.

No, thank you. Imagine mercenary smarter than many posters here who wants to remove pvp and requesting ploot.

Correct because i dont like bugs. Even the stuttering animation while you use WSG shows its only a bug. sorry dude. you have to deal with that right now. When youre lucky this bug will come back. When not… well… you can play diablo 2 original then

I’m tired of you blatent trolls on here, this was a core feature, how gracious of you to not include this part.

Clearly it is because they removed it as a bug. I don’t know when you think they put it back in on purpose. Please provide a patch note stating they did this.

Ehm wrong, he just talked nonesense and lies, toxic people like you and him are offended. You seem not beeing able to understand what was written.
I wont just accuse someone to not understand something for no reason, it was just bs, its that easy

Thats funny because i play with ebug for years and has no troubles with merc survival.

Ah, so you’d rather not address why most people are using the eth bug in the first place and keep holding onto a bug that was never meant to be… Makes sense.
