Maybe we can get some news about the next D2R season? Would be awsome to have more than a two-week-notice. Degens like me need to take some time of work and prepare the family :D.
Would like to see some game-updates too, and a perm ban of all the botters. But… The game is still the GOAT!
The current season 8 is now approx. 7-8 weeks old. Started 23/24 August 2024.
You could say we’re about halfway through if you look at how things have gone so far.
So the next season is more likely to come around Christmas, or even next year.
There is nothing wrong with it taking a little longer than the seasons are over too quickly, because equipping is not so easy without RMT.
What I’d like to see is some really important adjustments, new runic words and changes to the classes and synergies.
Stackable runes/gemstones, an extra inv for charms, which can no longer be in the inventory, because it’s very small anyway. Who would think of such a humble nonsense to fill the inventory with charms in an item-collecting game?
When you look at the “Latest News” on the Battle.net launcher when under D2:R, the most recent shows “Ladder Season 7 is now live”. Considering we are half way through Season 8, looking for news is looking pretty bleak. But I’m hopeful too. Maybe we’ll get something!
to be honest, the only news i would care about is that they managed to remove 90% of the bots.
they could balance the game perfectly , but if the bots ruin the game 5 days after the ladder starts it’s all for nothing, who t.f. even cares…
Just play solo. Or grab some friends and play with them, like I did. I don’t give a f… on bots. I played a barb and a sorc without rush to hell together with my wife. She’s playing a sorc and a bowazon. The ladder is halfway through and we sold some stuff we farmed and have many Ists and some Bers and Jahs now. Found a perfect Griffon and a Death’s Fathom. Now we are heading to our first Faith bow.
We never joined a botgame, we never used FG, we never bought items for real money.
Who cares about bots? Just ignore them. Make your own runs (NoBotBaal). Nobody needs bots.
If people wouldn’t buy stuff in RMT shops, Blizzard wouldn’t need to ban them. They would just disappear.
Maybe he wants to increase his chance of finding one of the first Shakos and/or high runes that way he can sell it for big FG bucks, then wait a week or two for the prices of everything to crash and then fully gear his character(s) with the proceeds. Maybe his employer requires more than two weeks notice for time off. Maybe if Blizzard had the ladder resets on a fixed schedule, this wouldn’t be a problem in the first place.
like once a year i’ll go hard on a reset. looks like the one coming up the crew is getting back together ! i’m sure some will take a day or two off work. it’s really fun if everyone is going hard the first 3-4 days.
Doing a great job at it, too.
Bringing more systems and lessons learned from D3 is making the game very popular. Y’all don’t realise just how good D3 is. Most people played it over D2.
D2 didn’t get abandoned out of spite. They chose to not change it, and that decision was celebrated. Enjoy the game for what it is. A slot machine. Your time commitment, for a ridiculously low chance at loot rewards.
D3 went a different way. It answered the question few ARPGs try to - how do you keep players playing after they find the loot?
As much as Anu (Sekscalibure) obviously dislikes this game for what it is, you’d think he would have given D2:R a hard pass. He’s another one that expected massive changes to the game, ignoring the fact that it was clearly marketed as a remaster.
Not everyone can be the brightest bulb in the pack.
