Thinking of infinity with charged strike/lightning strike
With the huge -% lightning resist, conviction aura, crushing blow, the build can actually try out some serious endgame contents such as dclone, ubers
But the tradeoff is that you have no shield (lack def), no skill mods (compared to +2 all skills, +2 amazon skills, +2 jav in titan’s + monarch spirit combo), the ias is definitely lower, lack fcr, fhr and quite some resist from spirit
Or make new spear/amazon spear runewords in the next ladder
P.S. Same for bowazon, need some love to buff it for endgame PvM too

I’d say there is a pretty good chance that combination is why infinity is specific to polearms, to be honest.
I’d be happy to see some new spear and bow runewords that could make melee/bowzon spears a bit better. Bowzon already has faith but before that its just harmony pretty much…

I mean PvM bowazon endgame is pretty GG already? I’m not even at the best endgame stuff yet (using Windforce+Harmony GMB), I don’t even have many good charms or anything yet, no crafted gear, no fortitude. And she still slaps anything in PvM.
Yup, with enough gears bowazon is pretty decent too

Bowzon has very low damage compared to even other physical specs. You can do it, it’s just kinda slow.
I would say bowzon is probably still better than a spearzon.
As far as I know, fendzon is bugged, and charged strike/lightning strike zon is impossible
I would really like to see how far the spearazon can go if you can use those skills with an infinity, or a jab/fend combo with reaper’s toll is decent too

Using spear with infinity would still be slower than lightning fury because it doesn’t pierce and cast more than once per throw. You literally could not make lightning strike stronger than lightning fury with or without infinity unless you tripled the damage, or more. This is just bad game design, the runeword should be usable in spears also (it seems like it was supposed to be a spearazon thing, but someone at Blizzard apparently hated spearazons with a passion and just completely crushed and ruined the build).

Bowazon works in players 1 sure, nearly every spec does, but she doesn’t work well if you turn up the players and she’s absolutely god awful at killing bosses since they nerfed pierce.

Actually sprearazon with infinity and lightning strike is kind of a hybrid between lightning sorc and lightning javazon. Lightning strike has less damage than chain lightning but hits many more times. And charged strike with infinity, I believe, will kill single target ways faster than a javazon.
I saw in 1 content mod there’s this very cool runeword for amazon spear (normal spear can’t use)

I mean, I’m not against buffing bowazon, but so many people act like she’s not good, or can’t be good, which I wanted to chime in to say that isn’t the case (in my experience, anyway)
She’s better than people commonly think, but she’s still bad compared to java and any meta spec. And she has the double problem that she can’t mf effectively, because you need all your gear slots for damage, unlike casters that can get to 250-300mf with little loss of power (shako/armor/travs/gheeds), and she can’t use a shield (so she’s very glass cannon, while doing significantly less damage than actual cannons like sorc that can also wear shields while doing more damage). She also has to carry ammo around.
People act like she was OP in 1.09 with the buriza/pierce, but she was actually far better balanced, other than maybe pvp (which isn’t balanced now anyway). If you’re giving up mf gear, shield, and have to carry ammo you should have incredible damage for these limitations that other classes don’t have.

and you’re right indeed, she’s not the meta build or most efficient or anything, but anyone who thinks she’s not good or isn’t sexy af hasn’t played a proper bowa.

This needs to happen. Infinity needs to work with spears if they want the Amazon to flourish. By doing this they would open the door to a melee focused lightning strike build which you are referring to. BLIZZ PLEASE MAKE THIS HAPPEN!
Bowazon is fine in endgame pvm, even ubers, people just build it wrong.
