Please address areas like Maggot Lair

Can you please do something about narrow corridor maps like Maggot Lair becoming extremely tedious for certain builds? Allow some collision for skills, let Necromancer at least control one summon at a time, or just do anything to make these maps more bearable. Are these maps specifically designed to make every single character obtain a means to teleport past everything?

no. There are good and bad areas for all classes. Adapt and stop asking for them to dumb down the game to make it easier.

Different maps are good for different characters. Any melee guy will happily take the maggot lair down because it’s a 1 on 1 fight in there, I mow things down so easily and safely when I’m in the maggot lair. I always offer to clear it solo for my group when I’m doing A2 in a group.

Leave it as it is, we all have challenges.

It’s not even challenging. It’s just bad game design. Everyone can access teleport and skip everything. To me, that just shows most players don’t even want to deal with that mess of a map.

It’s funny that you would even attribute difficultly to something that just makes the usual gameplay become tedious and boring.

Is it hard to buy teleport and skip the entire map? No. Is that fun or interesting gameplay? Not really.

Teleport is OP. Nuff said

Agreed. That pretty much sums it up.

The reasoning that you can telly past something is a constant to every map and every place. It’s the cornerstone to all farming. Using it as an excuses to have them re-do an area you don’t like is a poor argument.

Make a melee char and you will be fine in there, then think again if they need to re-design it…

Using teleport on other maps isn’t even addressing the issue.

People specifically teleport past everything on that map because it is horribly designed and tedious to navigate. Most players will just ignore that map outside of the quest. It is either a chore for several builds to deal with OR you skip the entire map.

It would be equally fun gameplay design if they made an additional quest map, but melee characters couldn’t reach any of the enemies attacking them. Then repeat that design for three maps and have melee characters teleport passed it.

Seams like it was designed that way so that you would be at a certain level to surpass it.

Obviously a oversight on the corridor for multiplayer. I think its idiotic to be in a 8 player game and everyone is in the maggot lair following the person in front.
Usually if I get to this point in a group I will look for lost city and viper temple while others are going in the maggot lair.

If your playing necro just play it like your a yo-yo, it’s actually fun…it’s just an area you need to slow down haha. I too don’t wanna see this changed.

you mean the sewers?

That’s funny that you think bad ai is an intended game dynamic.

Bone spear is amazing in Maggot Lair, not sure why you’re complaining as a Necro. Line em up, spear em down

Nice attempt at deflecting… Its meant to be a challenge, its meant to NOT BE EASY…
Adapt, practice, get better, dont blame the game because youre bad at it.

I wrote to blizzard asking them to make everything in the game easy for me and hard for everyone else. Still waiting to hear back.

People that think this makes the game hard don’t seem to have a very good grasp on difficulty.

Having to kill one monster at a time isn’t making the game difficult. It is making the game boring.

Designing a level that is hard to interact with is not difficult or fun, it’s just tedious. These few maps fundamentally change the way the game is played in an unappealing way.
