Please add offline chars syncing

I play offline SSF on multiple computers. It would be great if my offline chars synced automatically between devices. Currently I have my save folder symlinked to a folder inside my OneDrive, but it’s a pain especially when the sync doesn’t work and produces conflicts, and the graphics settings also get synced so I have to reset them for my potato laptop every time I switch.

Would be really nice if I could mark a few offline chars as “semi-online” e.g. I play offline but the character files are stored on blizzard servers.

We absolutely need this. This is one of the few meaningful suggestions I have seen in this forum.

just copy the save directories

; )

This… and also why I want a SSF ladder option so that the chars will be saved online.

A perfect tool for this is syncthing and is pretty easy to setup. It will automatically sync between all devices. I used this for my steamdeck and my pc + htpc

However this is another app to install and doesn’t work for consoles

They’re not really offline characters if they’re synced now, are they.

Yes, because you can play them offline. Online characters require a constant internet connection. Syncing only requires an intermittent connection.

The only thing stopping you from moving the files over yourself, is yourself.

I said it would be nice, not it is impossible without this feature. The problem I have at the moment is that automated folder syncing also syncs the settings file. It would just be smoother to have it integrated.

with syncthing tool you can exclude the Settings.json which is what i do so that each system uses its own settings for resolution/quality etc and only sync the other files between all my devices (only on linux/windows - console we are still hosed)

it’s not “you can” play them offline, it’s you MUST play them offline.

I achieved this by using a free OneDrive account. Right click save folder and go to properties, select the location menu, then move the target to your OneDrive documents. This makes the new location your default save location and allows syncing across devices.

If you want a seamless experience, you’ll have to set this up on your other devices as well.

Edit: Apologies I see you did something similar. It works for me because I use pretty minimal graphics settings, but agreed, syncing everything can be a pain.
