i would love to see mod support
i play the hell out of project diablo 2 and i think im now at a point where i cant go back to vanilla , i think i would miss too many convinience features just like rune stacking, greater inv, “better” ( or at least another focused ) balancing, more options for endgame ( maps ) and so on
there are many games out there that benefits from their mod support and hopefully we´ll see some mod love for resurrected

I am not sure what you mean, but I am pretty sure if there is mod support it will be running on private servers.
Who will be hosting them is another question
When Blizzard are talking about mod support they are talking about single player modding, private servers like pd2 need more than single player modding support.
Yeah sure. You think blizz going to pay more for more servers so the mod users can do it online? Ahahaha sure.
Im not saying they will? im telling the op that mod support and private server support are two different things and Blizzard have only stated they are only supporting modding (for single player)

That is the rub, they have said mod support but the breathe of what that means can only be assumed at this point. Making it hard to run a private server with D2R is up to blizzard, can they control it enough to ensure people are legitimately buying D2R, if so who cares who runs the server if the product is being sold, actually better for them to allow hosting as it cuts down on their server load.
If they can’t ensure people buy D2R or need it to be tied to battle.net, then allowing private servers easily is horrible for them and they for sure won’t want it for the first year or two.

If they allow mods they will allow private servers as well. There is no mod without multiplayer.
Creating mods will be a lot more difficult in certain aspects but i believe they said that we will be able to mod the game more easier, or more stuff to mod without changing hardcoded stuff.

Where have they said they were giving us mod support? Because right now all we have with classic is Mod tolerance. I do not see anything about giving us tools to mod the game ourselves …

Are you sure you are not talking about when they said D2R not effecting the private servers in there current state. They have never said we will have D2R-PD2/POD private servers.
They never said tools, they said modding the game will be easier and more accessible.
I want more mod support like make the Barb into Kratos from God of War.
