Hey Blizzard team,
First off, loving Diablo II: Resurrected—amazing work bringing this classic back to life! I’ve been sinking hours into single-player mode, but one thing keeps tripping me up: the limited stash space. With all the unique items, runes, and gear I’m hoarding (you know how it is), I’m constantly juggling inventory and mules. It’s a bit of a hassle and pulls me out of the fun.
I’d like to suggest adding an infinite stash option for single-player mode. Since it’s offline and doesn’t affect the online economy or leaderboards, it’d be a pure quality-of-life upgrade for us solo players. Maybe it could be a toggle in the settings, like “Expanded Stash: Infinite” for those who want it? I think it’d make the experience smoother and let us focus on slaying demons instead of playing stash Tetris.
What do you all think—any other single-player folks out there who’d love this? Blizzard, any chance we could see this in a future update? Thanks for keeping the D2 spirit alive!
Infinite stash isn’t D2 spirit.
Hey, I get that finite stash screams D2 spirit, but infinite stash in single-player would just let us hoard loot like true packrats without breaking the game—what’s your real beef with it?
As of right now, this is the best you can get as far as “infinite” stash space in local single player.
Don’t expect infinite stash space to come to the game from Blizzard, because it won’t.
There is no beef.
Limited inventory or stash makes you decide which items to keep. It’s supposed to be a strategic decision-making process.
Imo, we already have more than enough space for items. It’s so much that the decision-making became not as important anymore, while RPG’s are about decision making.
If you think about how many games limit your inventory you could always ask why the inventory/stash is limited. But it has it’s reasons.
D1 and D2 always made you think about what to keep.
I also don’t understand the argument that in LoD you could make several accounts to store. This wasn’t the way the game supposed to be played…
It depends on the game, but in Diablo we supposed to make decisions what to keep or not.
It’s supposed to make the game harder. But the way it is now you barely have to make choices.
I can understand that some people are frustrated that they can’t hoard, but thats part of the game und should have impact on your gameplay.
Some reasoning I’ve heard been ridiculous, like saying that they don’t want to play Tetris, while Tetris is an excellent game.
Well just kidding, but what do you think how much time you would spend on your inventory if you have infinite stash?
To be really fair, we have so much space, we barely need to decide what to keep or not.
At some point you want to trade the stuff you don’t need because you got better.
To come back to your problem with it, just have a list or use a website that tracks your grail.
No beef just means you’re dodging the fun—limited stash might spark strategic vibes like D1 and D2 intended, but with today’s space we’re already half-hoarders, so infinite stash in single-player wouldn’t kill the spirit, just the Tetris (great game!) time sink—what’s your take on that, oh wise loot philosopher?
Would much rather watch a new episode of eHoarders featuring OP and his unsightly stash! You won’t believe what they found rotting away in the 3rd tab!
As far as i remember single player offline mode doesnt have a character limit which means that in a way u already have unlimited stash space in the form of mules. Besides single player is like “cheat mode” , any items can be changed, extracted and saved in some local files on ur pc outside of the game files. Even entire characters can be saved this way and deleted from ur game files and u can always bring them back by adding the correct file from ur saved local files
Don’t waste your time and energy on them
They will create dumb reasons to justify not improving the game
But in reality they are doing it because they wanna keep it as close as possible to the nostalgia of when they played it when they were young, before becoming disappointing human beings for everybody around them
Yes Sekscalibure, we know that you want the games that you play to be a utopian candyland with no limitations, obstructions or anything that might spark a glimmer of critical thinking for those that don’t know the game like the back of their hand.
Yea, that’s probably the reason.
You can join Sekscalibure/Anoob with his mod!
Honestly, I don’t think you’d even need to massively increase to make the offline stash system more enjoyable. Give 1 or 2 extra personal tabs to each character, and you’d be halving the amount of required mules, making the character list much cleaner.
I’m unconvinced of the argument that it’s somehow a good thing to force you to choose between items to keep (at least in offline), as the focus of the game shouldn’t be on inventory management, but rather on slaying monsters.
All that being said, there’s basically no chance of there being ever a change in the amount of stash space available (or any other significant change to the game), as it is currently abandonned.
awww, beeing huffy? reporting me, huh?
more space? nah
better space? hell yeah
