I recently switched to playing offline and it is actually quite nice. I get players 8 and shared stash. I would recommend it.
And you can respec whenever you feel like it - just enable it in menu.
Really? Did not know that.
Yeah, click the gear icon on the launcher and click additional command line and type -enablerespec this will allow you to alt click on stats to Respec whenever you want.
I made the recent switch to playing online after playing offline for a couple of years. It’s much easier to get (specific) gear online if that’s what you’re trying to achieve. I play on single player for testing purposes only now.
I would wonder if that’s considered cheating or at least an unfair advantage
I’ve been online myself since start of season. Got bored of the grail annoyances. Who cares about “cheating” offline when some consider just offline itself to be cheating. Right now though, been playing Immortal and have not touched D2 since Tuesday other than the clone walk today on EU.
I honestly won’t even bother talking to those that think this is true.
Battlenet online was created to provide a one and only, legitimate, official, non-hacked, comparable, public copy of your hero. Anything else, is just a test: you can edit it, hack it, delete it, copy it, give it to your friends…
Imagine you go gamble 2.5 milllion at Gheeds, and you are lucky. Or, you aren’t. The difference can be extreme, yet with the same input (skill) from you. It is a casino. Run digitally in some line of code, like " y = rand(x) ".
So why not edit your offline character?
The same reason we dont use cheats on gow, resident evil, the witcher and so on
guessing he was joking. not like there is zero ways to cheat online. bots, dupes, rmt, scamming etc.
