Pindle Ancient tunnels Magic Finding

So I’ve never stopped playing Diablo since it originally came out. I have altered my magic finding style as the game changed. I remember when they altered drop rates on Pindle and added more rare unique monsters throughout the game. It specifically changed in patch 1.10. Pindle continued to be farmed but mostly for bots. He is not a good strategy for a person. Yes he drops most everything but not like originally. There was even an early time when farming the mobs right out Harrogath was the thing to do. So many skeletons and the drops were huge. They nerfed that but I don’t know if it’s documented.

So 1.10 is when they really started trying to get people into other areas of the game rather than farming the same things over and over. They added level 85 areas around the game positioned in ways they were in areas we never went. When they added keys to the game that was also for the same idea. But at one point one of the keys was on Izual. It was changed at one point. I just remember how much of a pain he was to farm back then. Not sure if thats documented.

I just want people who might be having a tough time. You should give killing and popping chest on your way to areas such as ancient tunnels. The rare mobs that are all over the place can drop great items. I suggest learning about eth fools replenish weapons and how to upgrade. They drop all sorts of great uniques and runes. Teleporting to meph over and over really isnt how this has been setup. I know there are alot of single player streamers that show you this stuff. But it is best for offline.

Im not saying just play ancient tunnels. These rare mobs are what your after. Dont teleport past everything in river of flame. They have better drops than Diablo and better than the seal bosses. Start at city of the damned and kill towards chaos while killing the rares.

But even places in act 1 all over the place are great for trying to find these rare eth fools weapons.

I think people who only over the past 5-10 years started playing should go back to the start and read through the patch notes as to what was happening, It would be fun for you to see some things you don’t realize. You can find them in chronological order on many sites like diabloii thats been around forever. There is alot of interesting changes I remember and think reading the patch notes may help people make better choices for having fun farming . I guarantee that people throw things away that are actually very valuable because they don’t know about magic and blue items as it has to due with low level mid level dueling. As well as trap claws , rings , amulets, efools weapons, amp javs , 6/40 javs. Theres tons of very valuable things out there. You just don’t know it.

I mainly use a level 96 lightning sorceress. But I have level 90 gf barb, 90 poison necro, 90 assasin.

I remember after playing d2 for a couple of years… i got curious what the game was like before. So i installed it fresh and did not just install the latest patch, which was 1.10 or 1.12 at that time. I installed each patch alone and played it for a while. Running bosses, running some areas, until i thought i had a feeling how it was and then installed the next patch. That was cool

Not everyone is ready to sign up to the human-bot program , back in the day people had the time to grind or were running bots .

Nowadays , especially younger folks can’t be bothered with grinding with so many games available .
