Phoenix vs Spirit for fire casters

In endgame, which runeword results in better overall damage output and quality of life?
Build in consideration: hydra sorc, fissure druid

The -fire res obviously will do a lot more damage-wise than +2 skills. Although, does it work with hydra? I do not know.

“Quality of life” is subjective. You decide what you want, more flexibility with FCR, higher skill levels - or life\mana replenish and elevated max fire & Lightning res?

My personal favourite end game choice for fire druid is Mang Song’s Lesson. You get both +5 Skill levels (just like hoto+spirit) and up to -20% enemy fire res (only 8 less than Phoenix). A bit glass-cannon-y tho, but it’s not a problem for the druid with all his pets

It does work. Many players confirmed that - fire res from flickering flame also works. Seems like hydra is a special kind of summon that works with your own -res. That’s why I ask the question.

Don’t underestimate the 55% FHR on the spirit, either. You may need the FHR to get away, cleanly. That’ll have to come from another source while using Phoenix.

Fhr for pvm is useless.

So the ultimate result is phoenix is better in pvm for fire builds?

You sir have no clue how important FHR is.

I have a melee sorc with 88% fhr. It’s critical. Without it she’d die very quick.

Melee
Most caster builds are not melee
And my question is with regard to pvm

My melee sorc is pvm not pvp.
pvp is dumb anyway. It’s literally AR vs Def and Ele vs Res/Life tada-done.

LLDueling is actually fun though.

Not true at all.

ill pick phoenix, for QoL, auto fill mana and hp, rarely push potion which lead to dont bother to aim and pick potion in cluttering items, it so pain. ( in my case javazon), so i just kill stuff.

never switch back to spirit shield ever since, best decission and investement.
