this isnt much new info given the ptr testing. how many times do you want people to get excited along the way without a specific date?

Ladder will be active March 31 if not sooner assuming the ETA is correct.

P.S. PezRadar does not do “Blizzard soon”. When he says “soon”, it invariably is a relatively short time frame.

they haven’t given us ANY info though, they’re doing maintenance tomorrow (we don’t know for what) and they have not said when the patch is going live. so no, there’s is absolutely 0 decent info here.

but we sort of know things are coming sooner than later at this point with the PTR done for a while now, the patch should be very soon, and then ladder soon after that. but again. NO REAL INFO YET. still waiting. :smiley:

It is interesting that April 1st falls on a Friday though… Ladders normally start on a Friday. :thinking:

We all know a remaster for D2 was highly anticipated at 2018 Blizzcon. :stuck_out_tongue:

I mean at least he gave an eta for the end of the month. It’s more concrete than anything we’ve gotten before.

i get it, but I think people are just burnt out on ballpark etas, maybe this one is a little more specific but after 6 months of this i dont see anyone reacting too much without an actual date

Yeah hopefully we get one soon. They need to just push 2.4 out quickly and see how it goes then give us a concrete date for ladder already.

I said April a few times, this will allow for 3x 3 month Ladder seasons in 2022.

Maintenance tomorrow is NOT 2.4 but preparation for it.

still i think 2.4 is out next week at the latest and it will only take a week for the ladder to come out.

I’d guess 2.4 to drop either later this week or early next week.

The server upgrade is the hard part, 2.4 is likely the easy part. They are probably doing them separately to make sure it goes smoothly, and to make it easier to isolate which change is causing an potential problem(s). After that, ladder is the simple matter of flipping a digital switch.

Iirc, when they did 2.3, they had maintenance on a Wednesday then patch on Friday.

I guess this answers the question of whether their D2R server stability was addressed awhile ago or not.
