I would love it if the console versions had text chat I would be ok if on top of that you vould customize the chat wheel as well as normal text chat. That way the wheel could actually be usable when in more hazordous situations when typing could get your hc character killed

It really is just laziness. I’ve bought d2r on console last night. I do own it on pc, I’m in-between computers at the moment and waiting for parts to arrive. Stupidly handed 69 AUD to blizzard to play on console, wondering why console players get a fraction of the product pc players received. Controller can be used on pc. Consoles today have mouse and keyboard support and it’s down to the developers to implement it. I don’t know if they have to get licensing for it or not through the hardware manufacturers, but if fortnite, call of duty war zone etc has it, I don’t see why they couldn’t have just done their jobs properly and released it on console. Again with diablo 4, doesn’t have keyboard and mouse support due to laziness. It’s a terrible game in my opinion anyway. Glad I bought it on disc for ps5, I was able to resell it on marketplace and get most of my money back.
It’s the same old not listening to the community thing with blizzard.

Blizz, we really want this. I signed a long time ago but am signing again. Diablo 4 has text chat on console… why doesn’t D2R have the same??? 
Please, guys and gals of Blizzard… Seriously. Show the people some love. You promised it would be the same as it was originally… it’s halfway there. Lobbies were pretty much fixed… add chat and I think everyone is satisfied. Please, my heart breaks for this. </3

No it does not, none of the consoles do. there is someone to blame for it

it would be nice to put chat on consoles but also you can find the guy in bar search players and talk private so it isnt that huge deal , but i support the chat outside this
You can’t on Nintendo switch or the PS4, also on the PS4 you have to exit the game to message people 
. Makes me sick thinking about it all over again. I get the feeling that only comes from someone who has been victimized and robbed. Penetrated without consent is how I feel. To the very core of being I absolutely hate it.

i would even chat always on voice chat for people who want to use it. Imagine the FUN!
That, and I also want the ability to choose the server to connect to, because EU server are freaking ghost town!

Saw my Switch updating D2R today… was hoping for the new patch to include text chat, but unfortunately, it did not. It’d be so sick if you could just replace the chat wheel function (via holding the right analog stick down for 3 seconds) with making it pull up a keyboard to text chat instead. Next update! Dooo itttttt! Player base would increase so much… more people would buy the game on console for that feature alone, I kid you not. It would be worth it, IMO!

Just downloaded… Extremely saddened to see there is no chat function in a game I grew up with and was excited to play… Having just paid for the game I’m not even sure I want to play it anymore…
