Yay! Another day of sitting on the edge of our seats!

:grimacing:

Alright, where is the nearest black hole? Time to dilate time to bring tomorrow here faster! I want the patch notes NOWWWWWW!!!

I’m not counting on much myself. Mainly interested to see if season will be worthwhile, or if I’ll be killing time on non ladder bringing my Sunder Charms to a few builds and playing with a fixed strafe zon. Depending on when D3 season drops, may give it a whirl until RE4 remake comes out.

I’m still waiting on the upcoming FO4 patch, which supposedly fixes a ton of bugs in the game, brings 4K resolution as well as allowing the ability to run more than 60FPS without breaking the game logic.

Still debating on what build to play. I might have to give the ninja “deliverer” pistol build another go. I might do an energy weapon build though, haven’t ran that much. My favorite build is of course a ninja melee build, which is stupid overpowered. :stuck_out_tongue:

I’m also awaiting the Edge of Eternity console patch that is supposed to add the pc version features and actually fix the crashing on the final boss. Been sitting on this game for almost a year now waiting for the actual indie devs to fix. Was also hoping for FF pixel remasters to drop midway between now and June, which will be a very busy month if I pick up D4, which I’m hoping they answer the main question I have during ign fan fest before I pick up; if pre season will actually be a season worth of play or quickly disregarded within the first month or two in favor of seasonal play unlocked.

Strafe was never fixed. There was a massive forum post about it. Basically every buff blizzard claimed to do to the bowzon was nullified because blizzard never edited the right file to change missile damages. They only edited the file that changes what your damage SAYS it is in the tooltips.

I was referring to the fix to the bugged upgrade, that Pez confirmed awhile ago to Onadraig on Twitter, that would be addressed in 2.6

Twitter???
If only they had a gaming forum.

The commonly guessed theory is “the corporate suits” won’t allow them to converse with the community outside of support issues, official game announcements or to clarify information after announcements. Other than that, on the official forums anyway, they are just lurkers who be lurkin’.

It’s understandable to a degree. Anything they “officially” say, will be scrutinized to pieces. No one in their right mind would want a No man’s sky, type of scenario.

Maybe one of the new AI could act as community manager in the forum

I wouldn’t be a bit surprised if that eventually happens.

It would be nice for them to go full Skynet on combating the botting issue first though, with nothing less than 100% accuracy of course. :smiling_imp:

Same.

If the patch is as lame as the ptr there are plenty of other games rn.

I think that the season will definitely be worthwhile just looking at what they did with S28 in D3. I cant see them releasing a lackluster patch for D2R. As far as Sunders go, Blizzard has not said that they will be available for Non Ladder when the season ends, so I am pretty certain that they will stay ladder exclusive just like Season 1 content.

I think you over estimate how much they will be doing. Terror Zones are the big feature of D2Rs endgame now, the devs are trenching themselves deeper in support to this system, for better or worse. I’m estimating that the runewords will be cycled, with the cube recipes maybe staying gated, bug fixes, perhaps some balance changes, and by that Twitter pic of the runes, maybe a lame runebag. As for the Sunders, like with gated runewords, if you earned them during ladder, you do keep them on reset. I’d be very surprised if they add anything truly interesting like charm inventory, currency tab, or personal loot option.

I think you are overestimating how disruptive TZ is and how much work “supporting” TZ takes. If they lifted the level limit to 110, sure. But now? Not so much
8 mediocre runewords (4 if you remove duplicates) really don’t make the cut for a new season.

I didn’t say I was a fan of them. I think the idea of repurposed areas with higher monster levels is fine, but mainly not a fan of them being a rotating timer, especially with many of the zones being too small, too terrible, or too empty to do actual farming runs. It removes an element of choice, and the Sunder Charms doesn’t greatly benefit most builds beyond a cold sorc without proper gear.

As for updating the Terror Zones, it doesn’t take as much effort as you think. They can and have changed the composition of how long and how many zones are included per spawn. Most of this seems to be a simple switch server side, with no patch needed. They have a drop system in place to upgrade loot to higher item level tables, as well as adding in new loot drops from a separate pool. While there are still some bugs in place to fix, like Andy bug. They can also swap the Sunder Charm with a new item, and probably will in the future.

As for the rest, I’m waiting for the patch notes to decide if I’m going to bother with ladder.

Edit. I read your reply wrong on initial reading. My statement still stands though, that tzs are the new main feature endgame, and they are sticking to it, most likely with more tweaks and additions.

Just wanted to point out that no one on this thread has more “likes” than Fredi.
