Patch notes, statues and sunders

All the potentially insane, inane or overkill changes aside regarding Warlocks specifically, I want to talk about the changes to the statues and sunders and such.

Specifically, the goal of sunders seemed to be to have an endgame chase item, same to some degree with the jewels.

The overwhelming feedback was the herald system was bad and that basic sunders were too hard to get, but people were generally fine with the idea of the upgraded version being gatekept behind a grind somehow. Multiple suggestions have been made, from changing the recipe to upgrade them, to bringing back LoD sunders. Instead, they went with just making latent sunders drop everywhere. What? Abandoning the chase item concept with no middle ground solution, that just seems lazy.

Same goes for the jewels and statues. Instead of refactoring how that worked, they’re just able to be gotten from bosses at all times, meaning actual rainbow facets will be rarer at this point.

This all just seems super low effort and if this indicates the work coming in the future, I’m not excited at all.

This was a necessary change. Most players could go a couple weeks without even having the chance to farm for one.

I would have changed them to be from a different source entirely: heralds. What they’re doing with 3.2 so far is killing both the chases. It’s not that I specifically want to chase them it is the lack of effort.

Exactly, both of the new VERY strong end game items will be like common trash. The OP jewel easier to get than a 3/3 rainbow facet. Hilarious :).
