Patch notes question about skills

Does any other skill have “base skill point investment” requirements? If they make the PTR changes does this add a new limitation just for warlocks?

I’m not complaining about nerfs, but this seems to just add complications. Like if a necromancer required base skill points to summon more skeletons a starting character couldn’t summon with the starter wand….

I’m not even sure what that means. When they say base skill point investment, does that mean you have to invest points you get from leveling up and quests to benefit from them, thus making the associated skill charms useless? Or are they referring to just the base first 20 points in that skill?

Because if it’s the former that is a nerf no other class suffers from and just sounds like a massive over-correction, and a weak cop out method of balancing.

20 points investments means that you need to max this skill by putting hard skill points. The +to all skills like anni or Torch won’t matter…unfortunately…

Nerfs of this magnitude are unreal. They basically said that warlocks aren’t allowed to have any 1 point wonder skills, and if you don’t put 20 hard points into a skill, it’s basically worthless.

When are they going to do that to static field, teleport etc?

Sorceress energy shield req 20 hard points into telekinesis for example so…
