Patch notes no update?

Why patch notes never updated since 2.7.0 on BN pc app?

D4 has latest update though.

More drop nerfs, and they do not want to tell us

I posted this 2/21/26 on the Blizz News post about 3.1.1. Obviously, no one is paying any attention to player comments about posting Patch Notes in Patch Notes on Battle.net.

filthierrich, community manager, posted on two Hotfixes today, but the only way you’ll see them is to search Hotfix 3.1 if you did not see them in new posts. Of course, the topics were closed before anyone could comment.

Are you surprised? I obviously cannot prove it but this is likely what happened in meetings…

ā€œHey, we are greenlighting a new class, Warlock. We want it to be a generalized Diablo feature, spanning every title we have. Since we’re gonna have to add it to Diablo 2, lets add in all those quality of life features, like stash tabs for currency. Package it together and get some of the high streamers to test it, so we keep the core fans happy.ā€

Then after that.. D2R goes back to maintenance mode. D4 is the flagship, alongside its sister, Immortal, because its huge in China.

Hotfixes don’t require client side patches, so those aren’t what this update was for.

If they’re changing code on the client side, yes it does. Which, btw, there is some netcode on client side.

If you read the posts on the Hotfixes, there are singularly lacking in detail.

Company I work for does the same thing. Its not changing features for the customers. We are contractually obligated to tell them when we do push hotfixes, but unless its fixing a bug… we don’t tell them what specifically is changing.

patch notes if anyone wants them i guess?

I still don’t think those are all the client side patch notes. Those fixes don’t seem to equate to a 100MB patch. Besides, the version numbers of the hotfix and the client don’t match.

Then it’s not called a hotfix, that’s kind of the purpose of the term hotfix.

Right. Pretty sure Blizzard defines hotfixes as not requiring client side code changes/server side only changes.

Yea, because they finally changed the one line of code that was causing many people to crash constantly since launch of Warlock DLC. I couldn’t even play the game for more than 10 minutes at a time without crashing. However, I could play the PTR just fine.

Now, that the issue has been fixed, they’re quick to sweep it under the rug as if it never happened. Coincidentally, most of you playing off of your phone or waterwheel powered PC never experienced these crashes and were very lucky to avoid them altogether.

People are over here complaining about stealth nerfs, meanwhile I couldn’t even play the game without crashing this entire time.

That’s a you problem. I never had a single crash on my 9800x3d/5080. Also, PTR for D2R is irreverent as that code is like 2-3 years old at this point.

Hot take: I kind of like these ā€˜no details’ patch updates. It reminds me of the old days when players discovered things by playing the game and shared them with others on forums (nowadays on YouTube).

Wheres the 1-2 Hour Entire Acts Terrorized and a increased drop rate to sunder charms…. Or is this game for Bots / RMTers?

I don’t want them here obviously.

I want them in the BN app!

There was a problem with caches that only affected some issues, it was an issue with the battle.net game specifically, it affected me until I installed the Steam version and had 0 issues which prompted me to look more into why on earth the battle.net version of the exact same game had problems.

You can’t hand-wave people’s issues as ā€œa you problemā€ when you have no idea why the issue occurs, unless your goal was to try to drop your specs to feel better about getting ripped off for a 5080.

I’m just saying I haven’t had a single crash since RoTW release. Played on day 1 and zero issues. Something was/is wrong with your systems.
