Patch 2.4.3 - "Legendary Items"

Magic Find Bonus
You feel an intense rush of energy coursing through your veins, a faint internal humming overriding your own pulse. From June 30–July 4, a mysterious energy source will grant you a 50% buff to Magic Find, providing an increased chance to receive Legendary, Magic, Rare, Set, or Unique loot as a drop from slain foes. This bonus stacks with any additional increases to Magic Find provided by your items.

Legendary items?

The only legendary thing here is their incompetence.

Yesterday my MF was 143% and today its also 143%. Today is June 30, so event should be already active, but i see really no change. Why?

hopefully because it was meant for D3 and not D2R

Blizzard entertainment handling of diablo franchise has been insanely pathetic over the years

And now it’s a new low…

Tainting a legendary game with horrible patch and D3 nomenclature

It is because there are not many - if any at all - original D2 developers (not just coders, but designers and every other job type) work for Blizzard. Most devs come from the D3 team, so the term “Legendary” makes sense to them. I just hope it is only this term, and not any other mentality!

Hehe, idk how they meaned it but it is stated as d2r event

i was kinda hoping that this event snuck in by mistake and was meant for D3

There is no real magic find in D3. When my character farts usually 2-3 legendaries come out of her pretty Monk hole.

Eh, I’ll cut the webpage editor or in this case “intern-kun” some slack.

Legendaries
… uniques…

It’s whatever.

I get 40 listed games now with a search option.

Nicely done. Maybe took too long, but I’ll take it.

Its funny they dont even know their own game, they should maybe sell the diablo franchise to another company.

Bingo. Pick your battles 101.
Just like the hundreds of GenZ who read that entire article, and freaked out over a 50% mf bonus vs acknowledging the changes that actually help the game.

Any player making the mistake of calling unique items in Diablo 2 “legendaries” are often chastised in the forums… Blizzard making the same mistake is bound to get a tidal wave of criticism, as this thread proves.

They were quick to correct the error though.

If Blizzard has any elitist Diablo 2 player friends, they need to run their blogs by a few of them before they post them publicly, as little mistakes like that will stick out like a big fat troll bait steak.

THis is the kind of crap im talking about. The guys working on this game are just completely destroying it. They are going full blast smashing this game head on with a sledgehammer trying to completely destroy it.

They supposedly sold 5 million copies. What we got now? maybe 15k players around the world still dirping around on this game . Im still trying to figure out why and how all this is being allowed to happen.

They need leadership in their office. THey need to know that the threat of them losing a job is real. Someone needs to hold these guys accountable for what they have done to this game. Its destroyed.

What’s a legendary item
A perfect Griff?

Dropped all my items and i saw that i have 50 magic find.
I thought it will increase all with 50% (let’s say that i have 200, it will become 300)…basically this 50 extra is useless.

its said, it will stack with other mf bonuses. if so, its a bug

Yes indeed, we the D3 team increased the chance for legendary items…Oh wait were D2?

It was the first thing Ii saw in the patch notes and although it is a small detail it seems disrespectful to me to change the name in d2 when here they are still unique items and not legendary items like d3 (and like d4) seems that they are preparing us for us to get used to calling them legendary items on d4 too.

I wish that they change name come back in D4 like uniques items. Pls respect the tradition of D1 and D2

OMG that orange beacon scared me when I killed Andariel.

Just kidding, never happened.
