I know everyone is anxiously awaiting patch 2.4 and ladder, but I’m sorry to say they will not release for another good while. While having done maintenance on the servers this week in preparation of 2.4, some unexpected problems popped up, something most of you will have noticed. The dev team needs to figure these problems out and fix them before they can proceed with finalizing patch 2.4 and subsequently ladder play. There is no ETA, but sadly it is safe to say the previous ETA of march for ladder will not be met. Stay tuned for official updates regarding ladder.
I was hoping the 2.4 patch was going live yesterday. It would’ve been fun to play all weekend on the Nintendo Switch. I need to test out a few things on my level 91 Summon Druid.
But regardless I still played two hours last night on my lightning Sorc. It was also cool to add my very first friend on D2R. I made my first trade.
Also my Switch tells me I have over 500 hours played on D2R. My second most played game is only 3 hours. So yeah, Just give me 2.4 already. I just want that in place. The ladder season being delayed wouldn’t be a big deal to me if 2.4 launches soon.

“Wonderlands” I believe is reffering to Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands which is a new spin off of the Borderlands franchise.
To which, who cares? It’s not Diablo.

So April 14 for 2.4 to go live and April 28 for Ladder Season 1. This is terrific news to say the least! But does anybody know if those hard dates are for consoles also or just the PC version?
Does the Nintendo Switch get some immediate attention also or should we anticipate waiting a couple extra days for 2.4 and Ladder?
Either way I’m super excited! I’ve been itching to play my new Summon Druid. I dream about it often and soon it will be a reality. Thank you!

Good afternoon guys. We should be two days away from Patch 2.4 launching and going live. I’m assuming the silence on the developers end is a good sign that everything is running rather smoothly.
I’d have liked the final patch notes to be released for all to read already, but I’ve waited several months now so what’s another two days?
I’m just beyond ready to start my new 2.4 Summon Druid on Thursday. Offline with 8-player scaling. It’s time to play. No more waiting! We’ve been patient long enough. The talk is over. I just want to play!!!

I already can post “I told you so” since I was right, look at the date I posted this and the delay with that exact reason confirmed shortly after.
As for 2.4 thursday, I see no signs it’d be delayed again. Ladder will be more tricky as there are still server issues being worked on, currently servers are mostly empty but people continue to experience lag and disconnects.
