I don’t think the patch worked out very well.
I have windows 11, and 2 of my friends with windows 10 home and windows 10 pro, are experiancing the same thing.
I have a gtx 1080
they have a 1660 super and a 2080 TI.
We live on the west,middle,east parts of the united states.
So this is definitely an error on blizzards end.

Ok so i let it sit on missing string at char sleection string… appaerently its just missing the lines of text that show que position… you are indeed in que just let it sit there

C’mon eve5r since the game has come out u have had nothing but issues fix this coming from a multi million dollar company u should have ur crap together already!
I got the same, but only when running from a D2R shortcut using the inline arguments “-direct -txt”
From the battle.net app, without extra arguments, I get the proper messages.
I found that the “Missing String […] Missing String” refers directly to “Queue Countdown […] Press Escape to play Offline”, so for those who are stuck when wanting to play offline, just press Escape regardless of the Missing String prompt.
Another prompt simply saying “Missing String” will pop up, referring to something similar to “You are about to go Offline. You will lose your spot in the queue”. Hit OK and you’ll make it past the Missing String screen.
