- Added Class items for every class and 1 jewel - I feel like Demonshorn edge and claws might be too good and I should tone it down, let me know what you think
Hello, this is my project of rebalancing/changing/improving existing unique items. The reality is that many items in game lack good quality and its basicly not worth using them. I would like to change that so I decide to work on improvements and maybe devs will use some ideas for future patches. (dont laugh).
My idea for changes was not to make every unique item epic, but to make them more usable and also match their power with rarity. Also I was changing various stats which really didnt make sense.
This is part of, first of many, only 6 items now, I plan to post few several items every few days or week. Feedback is appreatiated.
This time its changes for categories: Rings, Amulets, Circlets, Charms, Amazon class items and one claw. No change under some categories means that I didnt change anything from that category and everything stays as it was done by blizzard. I like this idea of sharing positive ideas for potential item updates.
Love the Blood Raven’s Charge and Shadow Killer. Let’s not be locked into mosaic, and I like you made it specific to Blade of Ice.
Edit: Not asking for a change, but one thing I always notice when using Atma’s Scarab… is that the amp goes off when I’ve already killed the pack, or at the end of the boss’s life. Not sure if that warrants upping that chance to maybe 10%, but just a thought of mine.

Sure I can probably do that, should not be that extreme increase in power. I will switch pictures tomorrow. I might have set of more items tomorrow too Another 6 or something like that.
This doesn’t really move the needle for me. Highlords for the DS and IAS is so hard to beat, particularly if you’re swinging with something other than something like a phase blade.
My suggestion:
increase amp dmg proc from 5% to 10%
change 20% bonus to AR to flat AR, 300-500 AR would be a first suggestion but i could talked into more or less AR.
Don’t mind the dex but can we remove some of these silly chance to proc skills and put something on there that is useful. I know they might of been more useful prior to synergies but now they don’t add anything. I think at the very least the level of the skill should be increased. In this case twister and poison nova to 20 could be interesting if used on a necro or druid.
I like this and have made similar suggestions in other topics for shadow killer. I’d also like to see this same thought applied to firelizard talons. It could include minus to enemy fire resistances rather than damage.
That being said I don’t like the chance not to consume charge on shadow killer, however if we have to keep this mechanic, I do like how it only applies to blades of lce.
I love this, like a LOT. Would be really really nice for a Dragon Tail build. A nice variable -10% to -20% enemy fire resist would be super nice. A free extra socket would also be welcome. I would love to see some unique items have more sockets since runewords really make most obsolete.

I was thinking aboit it but soj is already amazing as it is, i just wanted that dmg to make slightly more sense considering its lvl 29.
I wasnt trying to match highlords. Its not about having all amulets on similar power. Its fragile balance and i want to avoid making every item too good. Its fine that its worse amulet than highlords
But yeah i might do this today and improve it like that.
I was thinking about it but when i was searching, i found some people who made use of these in their builds so i wanted to avoid removing it.
Whats your opinion of firelizards? Should i make it exclusive to fire trap assa? Or try to make it also good for MA fist of fire?

anyway guys, i am happy to announce that i started working on next set of uniques, if i will have time i will be posting rest of claws and then finish all other class specific category items in next 24 hours
If anyone has some ideas for barb,paladin, sorceress,assasin, necro and druid class items, go for it and i might implement it.
Oh yeah that’s fair enough. I guess my suggestions were more with end game in mind. I agree we need to make sure not everything is on a similar power level but it would be nice for melee builds to have more than one amulet option in the end game.
Ideally I’d like it used for both fire traps and MA however there is this item called mosaic which you may have heard of? It Completely removes any reason for this to be used for a MA sin unfortunately.
Assuming Mosaic is here to stay I would remove the current skills on firelizard and replace with either +3 to traps or +2 assassins skills and +1 traps as well as add minus 10-15% to enemy fire resists (possibly up to minus 20%)
Would need some testing to tweak the skills as necessary but I think the 10-15 enemy fire resistances is a must.
Awesome, look forward to seeing what you come up with. One suggestion I might add to this is when modifying anything relating to AR bonuses I think we should move towards flat AR increases over % increases.
My changes i am posting are basicly parts of bigger concept/project where i bring all my changes from various aspects of game together so for me is problem of mosaic not that hot topic as i will be dealing with it too eventualy.

Which is an equivalent to completely useless. 99,9% of ring users are in end game. The guys finding it earlier on are probably rushed to hell within 2 hours.
Changes i am making are not just for end game so i do care for both,end game and early game. Not every item need everything on them matching end game power level.
