Trav/pit barb all day baby
Sounds like you have no clue how to play D2 and know absolutely nothing about other classes either.
Well I give him somewhat right I mean look at barb WW is still bugged AF doing 0 damage every now and then AND BotD NOT triggering. Then we have the bow, sorry Bozo zon, which is literally a wannabe java in all aspects and with the gear you need as Bozo to clear halfway decent, you can do ubers with Java which only needs a titan in her hands to farm hell cows btw.
Yes because when I sneeze, hit the wrong button, the cat jumps on the keyboard, my finger spasms etc. instead of the dps button over the monsterpack I want to TP into it, then be unable to teleport out for 2-3 seconds while itâs on CD. Marvelous idea.
Also, by association, hit recovery would be a garbage stat, because why would I try to increase the amount I recover from being hit when I canât do anything but stand there and hope my dps can burn through the pack before they demolish me. (Hint: You just die here unless rocking the most obscene gear.)
I love how he says:
But mentions nothing of the spec of the classes, just the classes themselves. D2R devs would be wise to listen to absolutely nothing this guy posts concerning what to buff or nerf, holy cow king in a portal batman.
Sorcercess (cold sorc) is my favorite character in the game, and I support a small downgrade. Nothing too crazy, but I am fine with them scaling it back a touch. Blizzard is obviously best, though it can be frustrating to use with the lack of constant AoE and missing enemies. Frozen orb is more fun to use, but not quite as good.
I also think no build should easily destroy players 8 hell on their own. Not saying make it impossible, but if you are wrecking players 8 Hell solo, that seems pretty broken. These are not torment levels from Diablo III, they are literally translating to how many players are in the game or supposedly in the game.
Maybe just make Blizzard synergies half as potent or something.
âNerf teleport, nerf enigmaâ by random forum warrior
âIncrease Droprates, nothing drops for me in 10 hours doing 15 mf runsâ by the same forum warrior
Iâm no longer sure if itâs funny or just sad
I hear ya but, I think it kinda balances out. You canât rly kill cold immunes fast unless you hybrid and lose dmg. So youâre missing out on a lot of mobs. but, in return you get to kill bosses fast.
That is true. You need a good merc, teleport, static field, and blizzard to rock that build successfully without being too difficult when encountering immunes.
I think the biggest issue is more with melee classes being very hard to use. They have very little AoE (not saying it should clear screens), as there are not many things like Cleave from DIII and other games, and what is there (Whirlwind) is broken. On top of that, they miss a lot, and the damage numbers on items are pretty weak. You basically need end-game runewords to feel half as good as other characters. Would love if they fixed melee to make it a bit more fun and punchy, where I may only be hitting one or two enemies, but I am hitting them fairly hard and not missing half the time.
Oh for sure, Barbs ww and druids melee could use a little love. For druid some increased attack speed counting on gear would be nice as opposed to it only counting on weapon.
Are you talking shapeshifting druid only counting weapon IAS? I donât even know if I knew that. Honestly, there are so many little hidden details that I always feel like I am learning something new 20+ years later. I probably knew and forgot, haha. I remember several years back learning that defense drops to nothing when you are runningâŚit blew my mind.
Yeah. shapeshifters only get ias from their weapon. This is why these forms can be misleading. A lot of the nerf hype on teleport, and drop rates among other things, is coming from people who have not rly played extensively . Or even tested niche, and hybrid builds. not talking about you.
I honestly recommend who ever is in charge of making changes to the game stay away from the forms, and ask players in game what they think. they are the ones actually playing and farming.
Thatâs a lot like asking the wealthy how to overall the tax system. Those working the system are invested in the status quo.
What really needs to be done is to look at whatâs doing well and what isnât performing. Some classes obviously outpace others in terms of wealth and progress. Equipment based classes are usually built by having a skill based class that farms for them. Even at the endgame, there are basically 4 builds that see the most use.
This mentality and design is not only flawed, itâs a gut punch to the other classes. This is why teleport and speedy anything should only be for emergency case only when you have class and spec options in a game like this.
All enigma was is: âOops we goofed up. Our bad. Maybe Blizzard North is overated and our devs could be better.â
I agree, allways disliked teleport spam. Makes no sense why one skill is allowed to make the game feel pointless.
first of all Javazon is number 1 pvm in diablo2, then comes light sorc and after the girls u have the hammerdin. second, it would be stupid to nerf teleport, we all aim for enigma especially if u dont play sorc. its a great goal, to have game changing abilities like teleport, conviction. stop with this nonsense already
How good is fire bolt build? How good is blaze build? How good is ice blast build? How good is thunderstorm build?
Stop being dumb⌠build diversity isnât about class but skills
Itâs about sets of skills and how they interact with each other.
If teleport makes the game feel pointless for you, the obvious solution is for you to not use teleport. Some of us love the way it plays and enjoy the ability to actually teleport around quickly, unlike the train wreck that is D3 teleport.
Sure, those skills deserve some love. Of course, if you look on the PTR boards youâll also see requests for buffs to FO, Orb, and Blizzard which are among the best damage skills in the game and also are already getting a non-shared CD buff in 2.4.
