I love that you made the auto gold pickup feature optional. So why not add other OPTIONAL SETTINGS that would make everyone happy.
Couple thoughts that would make the game a lot better without changing the original gameplay:
Being able to stack both runes and potions (optional). But the player would only be able to carry depending on his space left and the problem would be solved.
Being able to reset stat and skill points (optional). The thing I hated the most about d2 was putting in strenuous effort in the game spending tens of hours and when you want to chage your play style or strategy you have to start over again and again wtf. You HAVE TO make this optional.
More chest space (optional). I love collecting rare items and everything in general but thanks to the limited space I can’t collect anything. This definetly took the fun out of the game for me. I don’t say change the original game just add damn OPTIONAL SETTINGS.

Stacking potions would be OP, but I think there could be a hotkey to put them from your inventory to your belt to save some clicking. The amount of potions you can carry shouldn’t change, also it’s a sacrifice between space for other items, charms and potions.
There is a reset skills and stats in the game right? Act 1 Akira or whoever she is does it right? You have 3 free stat/skill resets after that it costs, but you can do it.
No to stacking. Choosing your builds, charms and alloting stash and inventory space is a big part of the game and should not be changed.
Be thankful they are offering a shared stash since muling was apart of the spirit of the game from the players.
There is already 2 ways to reset your characters, 3 via Akara, and cubing up a Token of Absolution. This is all fine.
A stack of runes has my thumbs up. A stack of potions (stack of 10?) idea I like in the inventory but let’s leave the belt as-is. It’s gameplay at that point.
For a build change, this is undesired by people who play with other people. Quite appealing, on the other hand, by people who just play this game solo. Hmm, it’s a difficult balance. Maybe they can give us a way to EARN a respec when playing solo, in a way that is inefficient for team players to pursue? It should take longer than a team powerlevel but available to solo players at the same time.
its maybe a good suggestion, but you must understand somthing, since most off the source code is lost, its probably impossible thing to do, i believe most of the changes done by reverse engineering, in assembly code, touching stuff there affect everything. some stuff would probably very hard to do.
Legend, to what suggestion are you referring? What’s the probable impossible thing to do? Stacking runes? That should be easy, to count how many of a rune there is, and stack it in the stash like in D3. If you are responding to my post, wonderful. Maybe it will be easy for solo players to have a way to unlock the respec mission, maybe a random drop. That doesn’t change the programming of missions at all, only adding some way to open up that mission for solo players. Of course, how often this option may present itself is totally up to the developers. I’m no expert on this game (just grew up with it) but isn’t there already some farming that drops items that lets you respec? I don’t know, never cared to get quite that far in the game.
No and no, bad idea. Diablo 2 should keep the original.
This already exist, each time you finish Akara Act 1 «Den of Evil Quest.» You can only reset once, each difficulty. Normal, Nightmare and Hell. It means you have 3 chances to reset your stats/skill points.
As stated right above you, most of the source code was lost because of a failed server backup and D2 was almost not even a game because of this. Changing or adding things like that could very well completely break the game to an unplayable state. Some of these suggestions are just selfish.
Diablo 2: Resurrected is a Remaster of Diablo 2 with better graphics.

Game is 21 years old, that is why we got the great news about a Diablo 2 with improved graphics, people have asked and waited many years for this.

Diablo 3 fans can please go ruin another game, do not try to ruin Diablo 2: Resurrected. None of you asked for this game, and no true D2 fan wants your stupid Diablo 3 ideas either.
But it is the original. Look D2 is like an old home…we have the opportunity to put some new paint on it…with that being said that doesn’t mean add an addition, knock out the walls and remodel the kitchen…D2 is still the same ol’ house with minor maintenance and new paint job.

First of all I know the ways of respeccing stat and skill points which are pain in the a** and I did not say change the game. Limited space is also a buzzkill I will have to play the game with mods and sh*t again because of that reason (I was using Plugy for space and respec). What I meant was adding optional settings to the single player mode not changing the game!!! (and I also know that the game will allow mods but I don’t want that either jesus)
No, we read your post. You didn’t mention single player once in the original post. Also, d2r will have better mod support. This could all be done with mods.
